So rude?!

Author POV

"Hello?" Togami quickly said, still looking at Makoto, but at this point, it seemed like he was going to kill him with an expression
"uh- yEs, sorry, i-ill gladly go get that for you in the backroom; please wait patiently" Makoto bowed a bit before fast walking away, screaming mentally; he didn't realize how long he was staring and was embarrassed. No, he was more scared that Togami would put a bad review and leave the bookstore bankrupt that is worse over the fact it was a Kyoko family bookstore, so it was so much more important in his heart.

As he was in the backroom looking through the new box that was full of new books, manga, and textbooks that had recently been delivered to the store
"shit, did we sell the last set?" He wondered as he looked digging, seeing no Death Note manga, and looked around the room. Hopefully, it would magically appear, but after some more minutes waiting by himself, he gave out a massive sigh of disappointment, readying himself for Togami yelling at him soon
He slowly got up and put the book away; as he got out, he noticed Komaru slacking off again, reading a book while leading onto the broom, not even cleaning the floor... wait, it was Death Note?

"Komaru?!" he went closer to her checking the book out and quickly snatching it out of her arms
"HEY, I was reading that you-?!" she claimed angrily, trying to get the manga back from him
"First of all, it isn't even ours; it's from the new book second of all, Togami wants it, so stop complaining.. ill buy you one next time it delivers. Just let me have it."
"... fine"

With that, Makoto won the argument and quickly sped walked back to the counter and pressed the register to turn on, putting the manga down in front of Togami and giving him a nervous smile
"took you long enough. Did you decide to have a mid-break or something that dissent? Isn't that just so easy for you" Togami crosses his hands and taps his foot a bit             
"I'm sorry, we uh just have many new deliver boxes. It would be in any of them," Makoto explained as he nervously rubbed his neck and played with his hand

"tch whatever, how much would it be?" Togami has taken out his wallet at this point, counting his dollars like he is trying to flex
"Oh, it is going to be 7.00$" Makoto pressed the register to open up the money box ready to give him some change; he just knew Togami was going to provide him with a hefty bill to change out
with that, Makoto was handed a 20$ bill and gave back his change while putting the book in the plastic bag that said thank you for shopping at Kyoko bookstore, Togami was silent and left, didn't even give a thank you, but he mumbled something under his breath, but it was too hard even to hear
Makoto says in his goodbye customer's voice; as he left, he finally took a deep breath and put a thumb up as he was putting his head down on the counter, rethinking everything that happened

"How did that go, hm?" Komaru popped up next to him, patting his shoulder and giggling a bit
"It went alright, but geez, he can be rude sometimes, you know?" Makoto quickly snaps back, looking at Komaru like he survives a fight
"make it worse, you are in class with him" Komaru kept going as she sang a song over Makoto's suffering
"STOPPP"

With that, the siblings laugh it off and finish their shift together...
After some hours, it finally hit 8 pm. There was a close sign at the entrance as the siblings were cleaning off the window and shelf that had books in the wrong places, checking the money inside the register, and taking out the tips from the tip jar, making it 50/50 for Makoto and Komaru to split, as more time pass they both went to the changing staff room and change back onto their school uniforms and waited outside for Kyoko to finish her work in the boss offices with that the trio went out to eat together and went home together to be ready for tomorrow shift and school morning

Byakuya Togami POV

As I drove home from the small bookstore, my sister kept begging me to go for no fucking. Still, for her, it was the go-to store for looking. She told me there was going to be a surprise until I noticed the cashier; it was Makoto Naegi, the ultimate lucky student, and that may have.. surprised me alright; that made me think how long she had been knowing and keeping this a secret from me.. especially knowing the information I gave her about him
his uniform was sharp I would say, he looks decent... decently cute and the way he talks made me want to smirk. Still, I shouldn't, so I needed to leave quickly...
*BEEP BEEP BEEP*
I looked at my car's screen; it was a call from my sister. As I pressed the answer button, looking back up to the car window, checking if I needed to turn or not, she finally spoke.
"soo, did you get my manga you p-"
I caught her off quickly
"you didn't; tell me Naegi was working in that store, hm." 
"ok, well it was your little surprise, you like it? I bet you we-"
"shut up, dumbass.. but ill admit he looks cute a bit," I have, sighing as I mumble the end part. I couldn't hide it from my dumb sister. Even if I wanted to, she would have found out sooner or later, but we both know I'm going into that store more now for more surprises.
