I had finished unpacking my boxes and decorations, my room was all set up except for a few details- my walls were bare. Most of my posters from my old room were a bit outdated, though I had kept some. My posters of Sublime and the Cure still stood proudly on my walls. I rummaged through my clothes for something party appropriate. I pulled on a band t-shirt and some dark-wash jeans. I looked in the mirror and ran my hands through my hair. I had put contacts in just in case- so my glasses wouldn't break.
I grabbed my car keys and hustled down the stairs.
"Going out ma- I'll see you later!" I yelled, slamming the door behind me.
I drove to Tolkien's- the music was blaring and lights were flashing that could be seen across the street. The stench of weed and alcohol filled the air as I opened my car door. I walked up to his front door and stepped in. His house was packed. And by packed, I mean packed.
I never knew Tolkien could throw such a good party. As I walked through his front hallway to his kitchen, someone came up behind me and grabbed my shoulder. There stood Clyde- he got pretty tall, and he was handsome too. He'd lost his chubbiness and grown his hair out. He pulled me into a hug, I could smell the alcohol on him.
"Kyle" hic "I can't believe you're back-" hic "and dude, you're smoking~" Clyde laughed as he hung on my arm. I shook him off
"Dude you're hammered and it's like 7:30-" I laughed, "Missed you too." I kept walking through Tolkien's house and eventually reached the kitchen. It was more chill in there. There was a plethora of beer bottles on the floor, caps everywhere. There was a group of people talking, two girls making out, and, Oh shit, Stan.
Stan was standing against Tolkien's countertop, talking to someone. I assume- Michael? That one goth kid who's a grade ahead of us. He looked really into Stan, or whatever he was saying. I felt a twinge of envy run through my veins. Unfortunately, Stan was standing right next to the fridge where all the drinks were. I opened the fridge and grabbed two beers, slamming the fridge door while staring at Stan. He glanced over at me but immediately returned to talking to Michael.
I rolled my eyes, opening the beer and chugging a good amount, before heading into Tolkien's living room. I spotted Kenny talking to Butters, while his arm was wrapped around some girl. I handed Kenny the other beer, not saying anything about the girl on him. Butters looked at me, eventually realizing who I was. He pulled me into a tight hug.
"Gee whiz Kyle- that's you! I can't believe you're here man! We-welcome back!" He beamed brightly at me
"Thanks, Butters! You look great! Nice to see everyone again" He smiled at my comment.
The music suddenly went quiet, as Tolkien's voice boomed through the house. I looked over and there he was- on the microphone.
"Thank you all for coming! Here's to another shitty school year, and to our favorite ginger returning, welcome back Kyle Broflovski!" Cheers echoed through the house, I turned red. I hate being publicly embarrassed. Tolkien came over to me and wrapped his arm around me.
"Dude you gotta try this-" He handed me his red solo cup. It was some sort of alcoholic mixture. I downed it all. I can't lie- it tasted pretty good.
"Hey-" I yelled over the music "Can I get more of this?" Tolkien nodded and soon, I had drank about 9 more of those alcoholic mixtures.
It must have been a couple of hours because I woke up on Tolkien's couch and most everybody was gone. That was except for Bebe, Tolkien, Wendy, Clyde, Kenny, Butters, Craig, and Tweek. I sat up, my head was throbbing and it wasn't even the night after. My shirt was also off.
"Dude" Kenny laughed "You're only supposed to drink like 2 of those" I rubbed my head,
"Quite the comeback Kyle-" Wendy giggled, her arm around Bebe. I smiled and got up.
"I don't understand- Did I just pass out?" I asked, looking around the room. The group all glanced at each other.
"Kyle-" Craig started "You were the life of the party." His monotone voice made it sound fake. I chuckled.
"Oh please," I ran my hands through my curls
"No, he's s-serious! ACK" Tweek twitched "You were on top of the dining table, dancing, GAH, r-really well, m-might I add" Tweek rested his head on Craig's shoulder.
"You hopped off after a couple of songs, and you started just making out with people," Wendy added, I turned to look at her and titled my head.
"You're kidding." I blushed, "Who?"
"Who didn't you kiss is the better question." Butters' face was flushed.
"A couple of seniors, Kenny, Butters, Clyde, Stan-" Wendy listed off
"Stan?" I quickly put on my shirt, "Fuck-" I could feel my face get redder, I grabbed my car keys which were thankfully still in my pocket. "I gotta go, bomb party Tolkien." Tolkien hummed something in response and I ran out of his house.
I was still pretty damn drunk, but there was no way in hell I was staying in that house after learning what I'd done. Sure I made a 'good' impression but, making out with Stan? I tried to remember. It wasn't a big deal to me- making out with guys I mean. I'd had a couple of boyfriends back in New Jersey, and that's after I realized I was bisexual.
I clicked my car keys into the ignition and sped off to my house. My vision was a little funny, but I pushed through and just drove.
Kissing Stan? I thought about it. I'd never thought about having feelings for Stan before, I mean he was my best friend. Was. But either way, it was weird. My car suddenly swerved, but I got it back on track. I felt like complete shit. It hadn't hit me at Tolkien's house but now It was getting to me. I eventually reached my house and parked the car in our driveway. I looked over at Stan's house, I could see a faint light coming from his room. He's awake.
