Chapter 7 - Hurting

I woke up in my bed, head hurting. "Huh? But I was in class a second ago, why am I home now?" I then noticed Cheryle watching over me, the look of relief on her face.

"Oh Zepherlyn! I'm so glad you're alright! One of your classmates rushed into my class to let me know of the news. You don't know how fast I ran knowing you could've been hurt!"

She then sighed

"Zepherlyn... What happened?"

I looked at the ceiling, unwilling to tell her the truth. She then sighed again

"It's alright, I won't pry into your secrets. But are you sure you don't want me to accompany you on your journey? I don't want you to randomly black out while traveling."

I then waved both my hands in reassurance.

"Oh, no! It was just a one-time thing. You know me well; I don't faint often like a drunkard!"

Cheryle laughed, smiling knowing I was okay.

"Well, do you want me to help you pack up your stuff? We could chat while we pack up, it would be less boring that way!"

I nodded, I really needed Cheryle to be at my side at the moment. She's the only one that could make me feel at ease with her unique overpowering, optimistic aura.

When everything was prepared, I was exhausted. All I wanted was a good night's sleep. Tomorrow was a big day.

"Well, I'll have to leave now Zepherlyn. Wish me luck on my upcoming performance, alright?"

Oh right! In 3 weeks' time, Cheryle was going to have a massive collaboration with Fontaine's performing stars; Lynette and Lyney. Practically everyone from Fontaine was going to watch the performance, including visitors from other nations. However, there was one thing that impressed me the most. Focalors, the Hydro Archon herself, was going to attend the upcoming performance in person. I knew it was incredibly important to Cheryle, so I made sure to make time in my schedule to be able to attend the performance myself.

"I wish you the best of luck, your performance is going to be the greatest ever in Teyvat!"

Cheryle blushed, before looking at the clock.

"Oh crap its late! Well, I got to go now; hope you feel better soon Zepherlyn!"

I waved goodbye and collapsed on my bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
