No one's POVOn December 31st, 2014, a taxi cab traveled through San Francisco, from Chinatown to Marin. The car carried a single passenger, a woman. Her birth name, Adaline Bowman
Adaline gets out of the cab, and walks up to the door. After buzzing, the door opens, letting her into the building.
Current allias : Jennifer Larson. This is the first and last chapter of her story.
Having entered, the young woman walks up the stairs to finally reach the floor she was looking for.
21...22... 23... 24!
She finds the door the guy told her to knock at. Number 24, second floor.
She knocks and awaits for an answer. Finally after a few moments the door opens.
Her eyes widen a bit, she wasn't expecting someone so young. He seemed to be around his early 20s, greasy hair, plain grey shirt and jeans.Huh.
She expected all the rest, just maybe a big beard with a few bread crumbs in it instead of peach fuzz and way over his 20s maybe in his 30s. Still with the greasy hair and all, just... older.
"Uh sorry, we just gotta be quiet. My dad, he's still sleeping he's tired, he works nights." the awkward boy rambles. She raises an eyebrow in amusement and he seems to collect himself before gesturing for her to come in and follow him. "C'mon in."Adaline enters, closing the door behind her, cautiously taking in her surroundings. A bit messy but who was she to judge.
She finally walks up to a room, a computer in the middle of a desk. She takes in her surroundings once again, noticing the posters and the clothes on the floor."I...uh... finished the color SAP and the digital printing last night," he states while typing away on his keyboard. He continues talking but Adaline doesn't really pay attention, as she notices two baseballs dedicated to a certain Jeff.
"and printed the imperfections, see that's my secret," at this point the woman doesn't really know what he's talking about but what he says next seems to catch her attention. "No one's going to question that detail in a million years." the boy states proudly.
Perfect she smiles to herself.
She looks through the 'new' passport and ID and everything seems to state exactly what she asked for : Jennifer Larson, 296 Page Street, 0101/1986-
"So, why 29? I mean if I were you I would shave a couple years off, you could definitely get away with it." he chuckles.
Adaline looks up and gives him a tight lipped smile, I mean he wasn't wrong but that wasn't what she was looking for.
"You're very kind Tony." she says as she hands him a wad of cash "Nice work."
"It's a pleasure doing business with you. If you or any of you're friends need anything-"
"why are you doing this ?" she cuts him off curiously."Come again?" the boy asks a bit confused.
"You're a smart kid, forgery is a felony. 250,000 dollar fine, six years in jail" she warns him while walking to the door.
"shit, you're... you're a cop ?" he asks starting to panic.
The woman just chuckles at that.If only you knew.
"No i'm about as far from law enforcement as you can get." looking up yo him she adds, "I just hate to see wasted potential, Jeff."
"T-tony it's Tony" he stutters, correcting her, trying to cover up his own identity.
"The autographed baseballs in your bedroom...made out to Jeff." she points out, "Don't get sloppy, it's the little things that trip you up." she advices him as she walks out the door, leaving him dumbfounded wondering how she knew that type of stuff.
