Lucifer pov :

Before MC's arrival :

This morning had been unusually stressful. My parents were late for work, so I had to take the bus to school, which meant that the bus was overcrowded. The bus was packed to the rafters. Pupils were shoving each other into the walls and seats, trying to find some kind of space.

I tried to get to the back of the bus so that I wouldn't be completely thrown out of the vehicle, by force, by the very aggressive students, but my attempts failed and I was completely squeezed in between two younger students who were chattering away. I had no time for this nonsense. The new student was due to arrive in the morning and I had to be there, I could not allow the reputation of our school to be ruined.

Luckily, the pupils were so desperate to get out of the stuffy transport that they practically piled up on the pavement in a heap, and some of them even managed to trip and fall.

Present moment:

The new student stood in front of me, left to me, I wasn't expecting to be given the role of guiding, but I guess I should've expected it.

They looked... nervous.... I would have said something more, but they did not seem to be too keen on me.

They sure have a penchant for staring...

Our office staff left, leaving MC alone with me in the council room, it was all up to me, I hadn't seen a new student for a while. It was up to me to get them settled, and I had no intention of failing.

Mc pov :

I stared at Lucifer, his face unmoving, glued to mine, I could almost see his thoughts.

It was slightly unnerving. When he finally decided to show some emotion, he smiled effortlessly, helped himself to his feet, piled up all the papers he'd stacked on his desk and started walking towards me.

"Alright MC, let's find your classes, shall we? I'm going to take you to the lockers and show you how the campus is laid out, it's not as complicated as it looks, believe me, you'll know it by heart" he said.

He handed over a small notebook... A journal? It had my name written on the front, a glossy black cover and the school logo on the front, Lucifer opened the page and inside was a full week's timetable, all my lessons laid out in neat rows, each lesson highlighted in a different shade of colour.

He handed the book to me as he explained to me how I would need to keep the diary up to date as a teacher and all the details I would need to fill in.

"Your class timetable is here, if you need information in class, it's all on this page, lesson, teacher, room. Everything. However, if you should ever get lost, one of the senior team should be around to help you out in most cases".

Lucifer led me out of the council room and into the familiar halls, I checked the journal and scanned for my first class, it was the registration period, so it was not a real lesson yet.

"Room 204."

I muttered to myself

Lucifer heard me and began to speak again.

"Yes, that's your registration room, actually students start entering their reg classes now, so I'll take you to your room and introduce you to your teacher, then she'll sort out the rest for you, sound good?"

"Oh, um yeah, that sounds good, thanks"

Lucifer led me up a staircase. Just like the front steps, simple but elegant, what if my shoes ruin it?

"The room system is simple, the first floor has rooms 100 to 199, the second floor has rooms 200 to 299 and so on, they run in order so it's easy to find rooms."
