*1 Year Later*

For the past twelve months I've been trying to enhance my Mana rotation method, eventually being able to walk and do complicated movements while absorbing mana. It's not completely seamless, but I have been able to progress into the mid-red core stage.

A couple months ago, my parents' friends were able to help out in the repair of the house. Something was abnormal about the amount of force my awaking used, maybe it was because I awoke too early.

Our house was now two stories tall and was a nice cottage. I just hope I don't do anything that could cause it to damage anytime soon.

It's been hard practicing my mana control when trying to hide from any prying eyes, so I only practice while in the study room.

My father has continued to help me work out physically and had gotten me a wooden sword for my 3rd birthday a couple months ago. (He is 3.5 Years old)

My mother had run out of things to teach me through books, so she allowed me to read on my own, which allowed me to learn more about Dicathen and it's history, mainly regarding magic.

We were now situated at the dining table, like most days, but my father had decided to speak up about what I've been waiting to hear.

"Honey, I think it's about time we get Art a real teacher." He said, breaking the ice while looking straight at Alice.

She took a deep breath and looked up at my father.

"Reynolds, you said you would be able to teach him." She responded. Her eyes now daggers staring straight into my father's soul.

"That's exactly why, Alice! Our son has already progressed into the mid-red stage! He's already a natural at mana augmentation and a genius at the blade!" *sigh* "I'm holding him back, Alice." He started off strong, but calmed down at the end.

"I have a friend in Xyrus who may be able to help us with Arthur. I trust him. All we have to do is ask and take Arthur ourselves." He ended.

My mother closed her eyes, took a deep breath and sighed. She contemplated for a moment, then opened her eyes.

"Arthur." She said, causing me to look into her eyes.

"How would you feel about having a mentor?" She asked. Did most people here not find it weird asking a 3.5 year old questions that may alter their lives, or was it only because it was me?

"I think I would like to learn more about magic. I wanna be able to do things that you and dad do, too!" I said, sounding like an eager child asking for candy.

She closed her eyes shut for a moment while looking down. Then, she relaxed.

"... okay. *Sigh* Okay. We'll get Art a mentor. But we'll go all the way together and meet the teacher together as well." She finished with more conviction than when she started. I also didn't think she'd allow it so easily.

But after I was done with dinner, I was sent off to sleep while they talked for a bit longer.

After an hour or so, mother came into my room while I was reading a book.

"Hey sweetie, I came to let you know that we'll be leaving to Xyrus tomorrow morning, so you have to go to sleep now so you can wake up early" she said as she took the book from me.

"Tomorrow?! So soon!" I said as I started getting under the sheets.

"I know, I know. I don't like rushing things either, but your dad's friends are going to be in the area tomorrow and they'll have time to accompany us to Xyrus." She said as she tucked me in and kissed me on my forehead.
