John Rainbird looked at Charlie with remorse for his betrayal of her trust.

"Charlie, I'm really sorry that I betrayed your trust. After I disappeared, I really wanted to become friends with you for real, instead of lying about it." he said in a tearful manner.

"I forgive you. Thanks for saving my life from that crazy roboticized guy." Charlie added.

"You know, there is a question that I have for you." John replied.

Charlie looked at him, interested in John Rainbird's question.

"Can we bury the hatchet?" he asked.

"Sure." Charlie replied.

"I'll take you to your house, because Norma and Irv Manders are looking for you." John said.

After he drove her to the Manders farm, John dropped Charlie off at the house.

"Please get some rest, and if Irv and Norma ask you why you were missing, tell them Doctor Octopus abducted you." John said.

Charlie nodded in agreement, then as she was entering the house to go to her bedroom to sleep, John Rainbird left, happy that he and Charlie McGee made peace.
