It's Time

I ducked as a few demons flew over my head, carrying weapons and armor over to the other soldiers.  It was a really cramped space on Hell's floors now especially with this upcoming war.

Hey, I'm known as Alexa "Ace" Orona.  I literally have no idea where the idea "Ace" came from but that's the nickname I've been given by the demons.  I've been friends with the demons for almost 2 years now.  We've faced many things with each other; making Lucifer come to terms with his broken family, finding the last Reaper on Earth, and multiple harassments from God's end.

I know many people would look down on me for this decision but you have to understand that I did this for the sake of my brother and I.  Lucifer offered me a deal that he would provide us Hell's protection if I would help him any time and need.  I refused at first because I knew I would be taken advantage of and also it goes against everything I believed.  During my beginning time of meeting the demons, I was also on good terms with another demon named Beelzebub.  He explains that this is a good opportunity for all of us.  They would have a human on their side and as for us, we would gain an actual family.  He was true; they were truthful with us, they're willing to protect us even though we are not demons ourselves.  Even though they tried to kill me from the beginning, they were doing everything to make it up to us.  God never helped us once.  So...With a few edits, I accepted his deal.

Throughout those months, I believe I found myself along the way.  I found out what I was capable of.  These demons trained me how to fight someone stronger than me.  They provide me with one of their demon abilities so I would be one with them.  I finally felt like I belonged somewhere.

Now here we are.  We just announced a war against the Heavens.  We tried multiple ways to make God see he's throwing a whole system off balance; speeches, using his own angels against him, everything but he wants war.  He's willing to sacrifice his own angels for this stupid argument.  If it's a war he wants, a war he's gonna get.  Anything to help the innocent souls that deserve rest.

I whistled to have both of my Hell horns to land in front of me and my brother.  Two long fluffy snake-like creatures spun around in the air and landed on the ground with a thud.  One of them was a light blue male with a white underbelly, his horns arched over his head like a rainbow.  The other one was ruby red with an orange underbelly and orange markings going down her eyes, her horns curled around both sides of her head like a ram's horn.  Both of them had brand markings on their forehead, a triangle with a dot in the middle.  To show they were mine.

The light blue one, C.C, slithered over to me and lowered his upper body so I would place the saddle onto him.  I clipped it around his body then I took off the duffle bag and connected it on the side of the saddle.

Nick was taking the red one, Amber, he scratched underneath her jaw so she would let out a purr sound.  "Nervous?"

"I shouldn't be....but the thing is are we truly ready?" I glanced over to my reaper friend, Jaimee, I've been friends with her for a few months but it felt longer.  Almost like she was a sister to me despite the arguments we had with each other.  "We only had two months of training.  W-We've never been in a war before and both of us only have a little experience with our firearms!  H-How does army people handle wars like this-"

My brother gently placed both of his hands on my shoulder, slowly leaning down to my height.  "Alexa.  It's not wrong to feel this nervous especially when everything is at stake but we're going to be fine.  You made that deal remember?  Hell is going to protect us however they can and we'll do the same for them.  Plus..little experience?  I taught you since you were little and I watched you take down a deer with a shotgun AND it was running away from you!" His smile slowly faded into a frown, "Just promise me...promise me that you'll be safe.  If you need help, yell my name."
