Right, so I'm gonna die, up here, in a tree, in my orchard. Sounds great doesn't it? Moms going to wonder we're I am, Nans going to worry too, and I'm gonna be dead in a tree. Lovely. Hold on. There's someone over there. In the distance. "HEY," I shout "HELP IM STUCK, PLEASE HELP" the figure starts approaching me. Hope is restored. I'm not gonna die in this tree. Smudge purrs, she's happy too. Oh wait. Nope. I could still die. The figure could kill me, what have I done? I start breathing heavily. Welcome to the mind of an over-thinker. No, no, no, no, no. The figure, has arrived. Oh fuck. Seriously. It had to be fucking Alexander Blake. It had to be him didn't it? He's so annoying. He's a year older than me, so he's 17. He lives in the manor house over the fence from me. No, I'm not having HIM help me. No fucking way. "Is that you Miss Lockwood?" His voice was calming and soft but I can't feel calm right now. "Yeah, it's me, surprise. And it's Fern. Not Miss Lockwood" I mimic.

"I'm sorry Fern" is he mimicking me? "But, you seem to be in a tree, are you ok?"

"Well thank you captain obvious, and no. I'm not ok."

"Would you like my assistance?"

"Not really, but you're my only hope, so yes. I will take your offer."

"Well that was harsh. How can I help?"

"Well you can start by catching the cat" Before he has time to respond the cat is already falling at a rapid speed. He manages to catch to cat Smudge just in time. I let out a small giggle and Nathans head darts up to look at me. "What the Hell was that, that cat could have killed me"

"Well firstly, it couldn't. It's just a cat. And secondly, I wish it had."

"You're very stuck up, you know that" he holds Smudge in his arms like a baby.

"Yes, yes I do" After a good ten minutes, I'm finally on the floor. "Well I guess I owe you a thank you, so thanks."

"You're welcome. Would you like me to walk you home? Just to make sure you don't collapse?"

"And why would I collapse?"

"Because, erm... you could feel dizzy from the height?"

"No, I'm perfectly fine thank you." I take my cat from his arms and start walking home.

"Well I'll see you around then?"

"I should hope not" I answer without turning around or looking at him. That should get him to stay away from me.
