Elizabeth awoke, stretching her arms in her comfortable bed. Her necklace was still around her neck and it was the normal shade of purple.
"What a dream," Elizabeth mumbled.
"I dreamt I heard someone say something about Jareth. Like 'damn you Jareth'. I'm probably just imagining it," Elizabeth added. Shaking her head of it, she gets up and looks at the alarm on her clock. It read six am.
"Since I am up early, might as well take a shower and get ready for school," she mumbled, heading to the bathroom. After grabbing her backpack and purse, Elizabeth darted to the kitchen for actual breakfast. Looking at the clock, her mother was shocked.
"Lizzy, you're super early," she stated.
"I just felt like having breakfast, is all," she replied, then sitting down to the table. Grabbing the honey nut cheerios and a bowl, she made herself some cereal. Then her mom brought her a banana, an orange juice, and some milk.
"Thank you, mom," she said happily, sitting down to eat.
Once she was done eating, Elizabeth grabbed her lunch and there was a honk outside.
"Bye mom, I am heading out," she yelled in the house, as she ran out the door. The day and week came and went rather quickly. Probably because there was a lot going on and kept busy in all her classes. At last, it was Friday and she was ready for the weekend. She decided at last minute to put on the necklace that her grandmother gave her. Just so she could feel connected to her.
"Hey Liz, I am sorry but I am sick with the flu, could you please get homework for me from the teachers," Ally sent her in a text.
"That is no problem. Get to feeling better," Elizabeth sent back to her friend. As Elizabeth walked towards the school from the bus stop, immediately her amulet on her neck glowed bright purple and transferred her to Goblin City, in front of the castle gates.
