After some time, Iris, the sorcerer for Jareth, finds him in the room where he was overlooking the city. "My lord," she motioned.
"What is it," he asked her, still looking out of the window.
"The council wants a word with you," she reported to him.
He sighs, closing his eyes. "Why do they have the right to summon me like this," he thought to himself.
"Very well, I will go," then he left, appearing outside of the door, then knocking.
Then he walked into the room, facing a room of seven council members; ranging from goblins to humans. Jareth sighed, not ready for what they had to say.
"Jareth, King of Goblin City," said the goblin closest to him. "We have made a decision that will affect you, and the future of this city," he added.
Then a human woman with blue hair looked at Jareth, then with pursed lips, "You have five years, Jareth Christensen, King of Goblin City. Five years to get married or you vacate the throne to your brother, Jared Christensen,"
"Do you understand what we are saying," said the goblin close to him.
Jareth was not pleased but understood the position he was put in. "I understand," he stated. The council slammed the gavel down, then he left before the council did.
"Of all the things that are holy," Jareth rambled, knocking a few things over in the attic. Then he started thinking about maybe he ought to choose a wife sometime soon. It is at this time that an image of Elizabeth comes to his mind. He growls at the thought and heads to the baths.

She wakes up and everyone in the house is gone. Elizabeth got up from the couch, stumbling into the kitchen and pours herself a glass of orange juice. Then on the fridge, she sees a note from her mom:
Dad and I are gone for the weekend. If you get hungry, there is money in the desk for anything you need.
Love you and see you on Monday morning.
"Well, I guess I could always call Ally and see if I could go over there for the weekend," she thought to herself. Then going back into the living room, she finds her phone and calls her friend.
"Hey Ally," she spoke to her friend, who was just waking up.
Ally groaned and yawned, "Hey bestie, what are you doing today."
"Actually, mom and dad went out of town for the weekend," Elizabeth yawned.
"I wish you could come over Lizzy, but we are going to be heading to a wedding and probably will not be back until Sunday late afternoon," Ally replied disheartened.
"It is okay Ally. Have fun," she said before hanging up. Then grabbing several pop tarts, she heads upstairs and starts working on her homework. Which, ironically, she did not have much. Just a couple of assignments and reading for a couple of classes.
