Sunny woke up, the sun shining into his shut eyes, alerting him. He sat up and looked around his room. He yawned and stepped out onto the cold floor. After he changed into his normal clothes, he walked downstairs and grabbed some bread. As he opened his door, he saw Kel and Basil standing outside. "Heya Sunny! Ready to go to the park?" Sunny nodded, and Kel grabbed Sunny's and Basil's hands, running to the park.
As they got there, Sunny saw Aubrey and Hero sitting on the swings, talking. "Hero, Aubrey, I got Sunny!" Kel dragged us to a bench. I sat down, and Basil slumped down next to me. Aubrey walked over to me and sat next to me, resting her bright pink hair on my shoulder. Sunny patted her hair, brushing her fingers through the locks. He raised his eyes to see a shadow, faded eyes fixed on him. He shivered and sat up.
He told Basil that he was going to go into the forest. Sunny brushed past the foliage and tried to keep track of the fading figure. After a bit, He fell into a clearing. He looked around and sighed. "Sunny? Are you okay?" Basil approached him and held out his hand. Sunny grabbed his hand back and nodded. "So guys, wanna grab something to eat?" Aubrey walked over with Kel and Hero and giggled. "Sure?" Basil muttered, and we started to walk to the local shop.
