Remus Lupin One Shots

Harry, Ron and Hermione were in their 4th year, and were sat at the Griffindor table after the new first years got sorted. Professor Remus Lupin had decided to come back again, even after last year's events, so there he was sat at the table with the rest of teachers. He looked to his right noticing an empty chair, he took it as nothing and drawer his attention back to Dumbledore.

"As some of you might have noticed Madame Hooch is not here, she has decided to retire, meaning we will need a new flying instructor and Quidditch official." Dumbledore spoke loudly, projecting his voice with his wand. Remus nodded as he relised that the new professor would sit next to him.

His eyes widened as Dumbledore said his next words, " So I would like to introduce you all to Professor Y/n Y/l/n!" Everyone clapped as they saw you walk down the great hall. After hogwarts you had gone pro, but decided after your latest injury it was time to move on, kinda.

You smiled as you passed students, and upon reaching Dumbledore you engulfed him in a hug. He motioned his hand to the empty seat next to Remus who looked pale. Ever since your first year at hogwarts he had a crush on you, by your 5th year you guys were dating. At the end of your last year a full moon hit like it did every month, as a werewolf he hurt you. You ended up in the hospital wing for 2 weeks, he pushed you away, eventually breaking up with you.

You gave an exited smile when you saw him as your heart fluttered and you basically ran to your seat. He was still just as handsome possibly more, you loved the way his scars looked in this lighting, it made you want to trace over them all with your fingers  just like you did so many moons ago. Sure you were heartbroken when he broke up with you, but you understood why he did, you didn't hate him. You plopped down in the wooden chair, not noticing as Remus stared at you while you listened to Dumbledore finish his speech.

Suddenly food appeared on the table infront of you, and every one started talking amongst themselves and eating. You stood up and turned to Remus and pulled him up out of his seat to hug him tightly, "Hey Rem, long time no see!" You mumbled against his shoulder, he blushed a little as he snaked his arms around your lower back. "Hey! How have you been." he said smiling as he pulled away, his hands resting on your hips. There it was again, the flutter.

"Oh well, you know, Quidditch took up a lot of my time but then kinda bored as I was at home for awhile, Albus offered be a job and I had to jump at the opportunity. And how have you been Mr. Lupin?" He moved one of his hands to the back of his neck, rubbing it nervously, a tick he had since as long as you could  remember,  "Well I bet you heard about James and Lily, then Sirius just last year, and Peter. I've also had a few bad moons recently, but I will say that teaching is fun, oddly kinda calming." You laughed a little bit it turned to a sad frown, "I'm sorry I didn't visit after James and Lily, and I would have loved to spend more time with Harry, but even though I'm his god mother Albus didn't think it was the best idea, with me being away all the time. I'm also sorry about Sirius and Peter, have you seen Pads recently?"

Both you and him sat down in your seats as he shook his head, " No, but its probably for the best, and don't apologize I knew things were kinda weird between us." You looked down, "yeah..." you said trailing off. A few awkward moments passed until Remus spoke up, "Hey could we start over?" He said quietly yet very hopeful, that hope was shattered when you spoke your next words, "No."

He looked down at his plate, you placed a hand on his cheek, turning his face to you, " Remus I don't want to start over, but I want to start a new chapter, a better one."He nodded in understanding as he reached his hand out to you, smiling, "Friends?" You laughed and took his hand, shaking it, "Friends!" For the rest of the feast you talked about old memories and making jokes. Little did you know the Golden trio had already came up with a plan on how to get you two together.
