Chapter 3

~Miracle~
Today was my off day and I'm going to take myself out, I haven't talked to Tyler in 2 weeks since he took me out to get my spa. All I can think about is him, he's been out the state on a business trip. Jalen has been home more, he claims he's trying to work on being a better husband to me.

"I'm leaving babe." I bent down to kiss Jalen before I left.

"Okayy love you be safe." He said kissing me back but never taking his eyes off the game.

I drove to Lennox mall, just to pick up a few items. I was In Victoria Secret, taking advantage of their bra and panty sales when my phone started ringing.

"Hello?" I hesitantly answered because It was a unknown number.

"Turn around." Tyler voice came over the phone.

I turned around to see him standing behind me at the entrance. He walked over and embraced me into a hug.

"Heyy I thought you were out of town and how you get my number?" I chuckled cause I don't remember giving him my number.

"Yeah I just got back 2 hours ago, I came to do some shopping then I seen you." He said flashing his pretty smile.

"Not you avoided my question." I said continuing to pick out my panties.

"I been had it." He simply said shrugging.

"You should get these." He said picking up a pair of thongs.

"Not that it should matter to you but I already have them." I laughed showing him my bag filled with panties.

He walked around with me while I shopped and carried majority of my bags, it was nice having Tyler as a friend.

"Can I take you on a date?" He asked as we put the bags into my car.

"I don't think a date will be a good idea." I said lowly.

I loved spending time with him and lord knows I would want to go but I am married and I'm not that type of person.

"I understand, I'll see you at the office" He shut my door for me and jogged off to his car.

I made a quick stop at home before I went to the nail salon, the house was rather quiet which was odd because Jalen is always playing his game. I went to the room to see if he was sleeping but I heard the shower running so he must be taking a shower.

"Jal—" I was stopped mid sentence by my breath being hitched in my throat.

My husband was fucking the young white bitch from the gym in our shower. They didn't even stop to notice me standing at the door, I grabbed what I could and walked out the house.

This house is mine and Jalen's together but I'm choosing to walk away, he can have the house. I've put up with so much from him and I can't believe the shit he continues to do.

I sat in my car for 30 minutes, I couldn't even cry because I knew it was someone. Once I started my car, I drove for as long as I could. Before I knew it I had drove from Atlanta all the way to Jacksonville, Florida.

I got out the car and knocked on the door waiting for a response, I heard shuffling before the door opened and I was engulfed in a big hug making me immediately break down.

"Shhh it okay, what's wrong?" My father said in soothing words.

My family lives in Florida, that's where I'm from but I moved to Atlanta for law school which is where I met Jalen. I graduated high school early at 17, met Jalen when I was 18 and we got married once I turned 19. I wish I let myself experience life more but I was so fixated on starting a family early that I played myself.

My family never liked Jalen because they felt he was controlling me and brain washing me. I have a older sister, we were best friends but once I left we stopped talking.

"Who that at the door?" My mom said peeking around my dad.

"Ohh my goshhh mirrrr." My mom squealed calling me my nickname.

Once I got inside I told my parents everything, even though me and my mom don't have the best relationship she still listens and doesn't judge me.

"Any man that can cheat on you and not care isn't worth your time babygirl, you've spent enough time on this boy. It's time you move on and for the better." My mom said after I explained everything to her.

"Your mother is right baby, I've never had a thought cross my mind to ever sleep around on your mother, she wasn't playing that and I wasn't having it. You've got to set your expectations and standards high babygurl because you are a outstanding women." My dad agreed with my mom.

I sat there and took in everything they had to say, I was going to stay in Florida for a minute just to get my mind right. I contacted the firm and let them know I was going to be gone for a few weeks.
