Chapter 3: Listen

Normal POV

"I don't know if I do anymore." Barry said.
"You have to believe me." Clarence replied.
"How can I? I don't what you've been doing these past months and only now you come for help. So right now, Joe has a better story than you."
"You want to hear my story?"
"Yes, please do tell." Joe said.
"Okay so you know how I said that I got my powers from the explosion? Well I don't exactly know that for sure."
"What do you mean?" Barry asked.
"Right after the explosion, I didn't have any side effects that showed that I was a meta human. However, the night of the incident I don't have a lot of memory from it. The only thing I remember is that I was walking back to my apartment and I saw someone following me so I turned into an alleyway. Probably not the best idea but when I turned to confront this person he or she was gone. So, I went to go exit the alley the way I came but that some one was waiting there and the person pushed me back into the alley. When I tried to runaway all I saw was the person turn into a wolf and it attacked me and then I blacked out. That's what I remember. So when you guys were accusing me, I thought about it and that might be your guy." Clarence said, " Can you please put the gun down?"
"No, because how do we know that you're not just making this up for a cover up?" Joe said back.
"Why would I lie to you? Especially you Barry?" Said Clarence, " I thought we had something between us."
"That was in high school though."
"So we don't share the same feelings anymore?"

"No, I mean yes, I don't know it's complicated Clare."

" I told you before, don't call me Clare." She said.

"Why is it so hard for you to believe me Barry? You know me why would I lie."

"Joe, put the gun down." Barry said.

"But Barry-" Joe started.

"Just put it down." Barry replied and Joe did what he told him to do.

"We'll see if you are telling the truth or not. Cisco! Look into the night of the explosion and see if we have any leads." Said Barry.

"What can I do? Do you still think you can fix me?" Clarence asked.

"Maybe, but until then. When's your brother coming?" Barry asked.

" Actually I was supposed to pick him up an hour ago. Barry? Do you think you can give me a lift to the airport?" She replied.

"Fine. Let's go. What are you going to tell him?"

" The truth."
