Alosa

It's currently 3:30 am and I'm wide awake, toot is curled up on my chest and Angel is snuggled into my shoulder snoring away.

He fell asleep about an hour ago after several rounds of the hottest sex I've ever had.

I can't sleep though I'm so tired but I can't I'm afraid to close my eyes I just know that my sleep will be filled with dominicos face and I can't deal with that.

After lying here staring at the ceiling for ages, I lift toot off my chest and place her on the bed. After that I get up then slip my dressing gown on and sneak out the room.

I honestly don't know what else to do right now but drink.

So that's exactly what I do. I find the nearest bottle of whiskey and pour myself a glass, then another and another, then two more.

I don't stop.

Angel

When I wake up it's because toot is licking my face.

I reach out for Alosa but she isn't there and her spot is cold.

Panicking I sit up and check the time. It's only 5am and I know that's she's not a morning person so where the hell is she.

I throw some shorts on then go to look for her fearing the worst.

I walk downstairs and check the kitchen but she's not there.

I walk into the lounge and see her lying on the couch staring up at the ceiling.

Well panic over.

She looks in my direction then sits up smiling at me.

"Angel your supposed to be sleeping!!!" She says slurring her words.

"Baby are you drunk?" I ask as if I don't already know the answer.

"Maybe just a smidge. Come sit with me. I was actually just thinking about you." She says.

I walk over to her and sit down next to her.

"You were? What we're you thinking?"

"That I'm not good enough for you. I'm damaged and worthless he made sure of that. and your so good too good"

"Fuck Alosa don't think like that okay. What happened why are you drunk at 5am?"

"I- im in pain all these thoughts are endless he's making me into that girl again, the one he controlled and hurt. I can't go back to that I'd rather die. So I just needed to numb the pain for a while." Fuck.

Panic not over.

"Why didn't you wake me up I could help you." She looks at me her face blank like she's not even there.

"Because he's in my head and I just wanted to make him go for a while and this is the only way to do that."

Honestly I don't know what to say to help her right now. Instead I pull her close to me and just hold her.

I hold her when she cries because it's the only thing I can think of.

I feel helpless I should be out there hunting him down it's all I want to do, but I couldn't take that away from Alosa because I know killing him is the only thing that will set her free.

"Angel?" She says.

"Yes love"

"I'm sorry" she's breaking my heart.

"Don't you dare be sorry there's nothing to be sorry for." She sits up and pulls away from me.

"Yes there is I'm sorry that you had to see me like this.

I'm sorry I'm not the person you thought I was.

I'm sorry I'm weak and that this is the only way to numb the pain because this isn't fair to everyone else.

I'm most sorry that you got dragged into this because you deserve a good person, someone who is strong and someone who isn't scarred.

I'm sorry."

Fuck.

I grab her shoulders and make her look at me.

"Alosa you are the strongest person I've ever met.

Everyone has bad days but that doesn't mean they aren't a good person.
I don't give a fuck about your scars just like you don't care about mine.

You are exactly who I thought you were your kind, loving, selfless, strong, beautiful, sexy and so much more and they are only some of the reasons why I love you." I say.

"You love me?"

"Fuck yes of course I do your impossible not to love."

"I- I love you too" she smiles.

"You do?" I wasn't expecting her to say it back.

"yes I love you I was just too scared to say it because I didn't want you to feel obligated to say it back to m-"

I cut her off with a kiss.

"Will you lie with me for a while?"

"Baby I'm never going to leave your side again your stuck with me of corse I will." I say placing a kiss on her head.
