As morning came, the young group woke up one by one, Anthony cooking off of a hot top portable stove while Johnathon went off to scope out the store again, quietly and carefully with an army swiss knife in his hand. Elena was stirring in her sleep, waking up from the sunlight beaming down on her face. She scrunches up her nose as she takes the stuffed animal she was given the night before and covers her face.
Elena squints her sleepy eyes towards the smell of breakfast being made, a smile spreading on her face," Good morning, bro!" Elena says as she sits up from her sleeping bag.
Anthony chuckles softly as he places the last of some bacon from their last hunt, well it was meat that tasted like bacon but was a bit more chewy," Good morning, sleepy head! Johnathon went out on patrol so don't worry about waking up a little late! I suspect it's eleven AM," Anthony says, in a matter of fact manner. Elena felt a twinge of guilt, will Johnathon ever forgive her? She had a head full of thoughts that shouldn't be there, so many and that many caused her to hold her head in her hands and let out an exasperated sigh. Anthony notices and quickly uses the spatula and sets Elena's and Johnathon's plate as he hears heavy footsteps, specifically in platform sneakers.
Elena pushes out of her sleeping bag and reaches for her weapon, as Johnathon turns the corner with a derpy look on his face,"Dude! You making bacon AGAIN?! We didn't have pig meat we had rabbit meat! And you used the last of it? Bro," Johnathon says, annoyed. Elena laughs at his face and grabs both of their plates out of Anthony's hands after she says her thanks," You're so annoying, bro! Just be grateful that we even have food!" Elena laughs out her words as Johnathon reaches for his plate reluctantly," Yeah I guess... thank you for the food big bro," but as he says those words he freezes a moment before quietly eating his food. They had been calling each other family since the apocalypse broke and the young group grew closer. The air felt tense as they all ate their food quietly together.

After they ate, they were already set to venture out, finding some gas stations and filling up their truck's gas tank and their empty gallons of cartons all the while tying them together and putting them in the bed of the truck. Anthony, again, is the first to break the hours silence, not dealing with the silence any more," We have been super busy today and we made some progress!" Anthony says proudly,"and we have yet to find any dead things today, a happy plus!" He chirps.
Elena and Johnathon glance at each other and make a look as their eyes set on the back of the driver Anthony."Uhm, I had been meaning to ask," Johnathon hesitated a moment as he combs his fingers into his disheveled hair,"So, do you think we could try to go back?" He finally blurts out his question but in turn Anthony grips the steering wheel and slams the brakes dramatically. Elena and Johnathon jolt forward against their seatbelt and they both let out a grunt.
"You really didn't need to go out of your way to do that," Elena says as she puts her hand to her throat," now I might as well have a seat belt burn!" Displeased by what happened, they both glare at Anthony, but he already turned around in his seat,"Oh shit! You are so right, the hoard has probably dissipated!" Anthony says as he slaps his head," We could quickly look! But we have to be cautious and... possibly expect the worst..." his words trail off, but the two quickly realize they may not find them at all.
"How will we hide the truck? Find a garage space somewhere close?" For days like these, they plan ahead. And quickly.

"Alright, we all know not to fall behind and keep watch for other walkers that may or may not look like them, okay? We will only split up briefly if need be." Anthony orders the two young adults, the three of them keeping 4 feet apart from each other in a single file line. On foot, and already hours had gone by of them just quietly maneuvering through the barely empty streets of the city, killing zombies if they have to and covering themselves in the blood of each corpse they come across. To them, with enough of it, they can hide themselves if they are bombarded by a herd of those dead things.
The group had decided if they don't see them where they had promised to be, or even where Elena had heard Castella yell, they would only go for another couple of days to search for her sister and Johnathon's brother.
