I'M SITTING IN my dad's office, on top of the desk as he stands beside me. Scott and Stiles are stood in front of us.

"It's a deadpool, a hitlist of supernatural creatures." Scott speaks up, unfolding a piece of paper and offering it to my dad, "This is only part of it- The rest still needs to be decoded."

"Who found this list?" My father asked.

"Lydia." I answered quickly.

"How?"

"She wrote it. Actually- She transcribed it, without realising." Stiles explained to him.

"Banshee?"

"Banshee." My sibling and I confirmed, nodding at our dad.

"Beautiful," Sheriff comments, "Now what are these numbers next to the names?"

"We're getting to that. First, you need to know the code was broken with a cipher key." My brother told him.

"Like a keyword?" I asked, tilting my head. They didn't mention that.

Stiles nodded at me, "It was actually a name."

"Allison." Scott murmured and I look at him, all of us allowing a moment of silence to take over at the mention.

"Her name broke a third of the list." Stiles continues.

"Yeah, and we think there's two other cipher keys." Scott adds, mood dampened.

"So it'll give us the rest of the cipher names? Okay." My dad nodded, "How do we get the rest of the cipher keys?"

"Same way we got the code." Stiles said.

"Lydia. She's been at the lakehouse all weekend, presumably trying to get the other keywords since she found the first one there." I spoke, understanding their plan.

👹

We've been shooting out ideas about this hitlist for a little bit, nothing being fully clear.

"You didn't know about Demarco or Carrie, right?" My dad spoke up, "What about the other names? Kayleen Bettcher? Elias Town? They werewolves too?"

"I don't know, but Deaton said the Nemeton would drag supernatural creatures here." Scott told him and I nod, thinking back to when they sacrificed themselves for our parents. Lydia was the anchor for Allison, Isaac was Scott's and of course, I was my brother's. I always wished I would've done it instead of him, maybe the nogitsune wouldn't have happened.

I've also felt guilty since then, due to the effects it's left on my brother. The darkness he had in a minor amount becoming major, eating away at him with no remorse. He thinks he hides it but I notice, I always do.

"Here as in Beacon Hills? Or Beacon County?" My dad questions, "The population of Beacon Hills is just under thirty thousand,"

"And dropping." My brother and I pipe in at the same time, our dad shooting each of us a look.

"If we're talking Beacon County, then you're looking closer to five hundred thousand." My dad sighed, taking a seat on his chair, "How many werewolves, banshees, kitsunes, whatever the hell else is out there, are we talking about?"

He paused, "And what happens if the next cipher key uncovers not twelve names, but a hundred?"

"We don't think there'll be that many," Stiles speaks and I nod, adding to the conversation, "We think there's a limit."

"Look at the numbers. We think that once we decode the names, the numbers will add up to a hundred and seventeen million." Scott explained.

Stiles then grabbed the paper as our dad made Scott repeat his theory. My brother began writing 'K' or 'M' beside the numbers.
