The warm glow of light dims.

"Happy Birthday to you∼"

"Oh no."

"Happy Birthday to you∼" everyone began to sing.

From around the kitchen corner, Billy with a chocolate sponge cake — drizzled in hot melted fudge with an assortment of strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries atop and lit candles circling the edge around the berries — resting in his lap, was wheeled into the living room by Harry Clearwater.

Jacob was sat on the couch in between Quil and Embry — his best friends, and Seth sitting on the arm of the couch.

"Happy Birthday dear Jacob!∼"

Jacob inwardly cringed. God, even Sam and Leah — with their arms wrapped around each other lovingly and smug smiles plastered on their faces — were singing to him.

"Happy Birthday to youuu!∼"

Everyone clapped and cheered at Jacob's beet-red face, contorted into an annoyed smirk.

"Thank's guys," he rolled his eyes.

Harry wheeled Billy up to Jacob and held up the cake for him, "Happy fifteenth, son. Make a wish," he beamed.

Jacob sighed and pushed back the curtain of his hair as he leaned in and sucked in a large breath. He blew out the candles with a great whoosh, all but except one flickering out. With an extra breath and quick blow, the last stubborn flame went out. Jacob grinned with everyone giving a round of applause and gentle laughter spread throughout.

"Speech!" Sam yelled, earning a chuckle from the others.

"Absolutely not," Jacob glared back at the older teen with a shake of his head, though he couldn't fight the grin still stuck on his face.

A quick, white flash caught Jacob's eye and he turned his head to see Sue Clearwater holding up a camera to her face, directly pointing it at Jacob.

"Sue, you did not take pictures," Jacob whined with dread.

"Oh, I did. I got a whole bunch," she confirmed with a cheeky smirk.

Jacob groaned in defeat and Harry took Billy back into the kitchen to cut the cake.

When everyone had their cake on paper plates and started to dig in, a new groan left Jacob's mouth, "Oh my God, this is so good." The berries helped balance the sickly sweetness of the chocolate overload.

"All compliments to Sue, she baked it," Billy grinned.

Everyone synchronised, with mouths stuffed in chocolatey goodness, "Thank's Sue!"

"Dude, hurry! Before Sam and Leah leave without us and we miss the movie!" Embry urged as they left the checkout.

Embry, Quil, Jacob and Seth had gone to a game store in Port Angeles for Jacob to pick out his birthday present and see a movie at the cinema, courtesy of Sam and Leah driving them. As long as they took Seth with them.

Jacob's plastic bag was filled with a newly purchased video game thanks to the birthday money from everyone instead of them getting him individual gifts. Jacob didn't have a gaming console, but Quil did, so Jacob and Embry would go to play on it with him at his house.

They weaved their way through the aisles of video games in a hurry, "Seth, come on!" Quil chuckled as he dragged the younger boy away from a game he was stuck staring at.

Jacob dashed to the storefront door and swung it open in a fit of giggles, not paying attention when he was about to collide into someone. The boys behind him almost ran into him from his abrupt stop.
