Chapter One: Earth

A.N. Hey guys... Sorry if this chapter bores you nearly to death, it probably will. But... I promise you the upcoming chapters are less boring.   Also if you already read the Halo Trilogy made by Alexandra Adornetto, then just to let you know..... there's a Jake in this book, but it's not the evil Jake ok, this one is not an evil one ok.

The powerful wind flows through my wings; as I descend to my destination... Nightstar cove, New Zealand. Nothing much really happens in this sleepy town. But sources told me to come here, to protect it from the gathering evil forces.

My descent came with a luminous pillar of light, a light so bright no human could withstand its brightness, they would be blind for the rest of their life, lucky for me... I'm not human at all, I'm actually...... an Angel.

My real name is Angelic; with a sharp C, pronounced like Angelique, but here in Earth, my name is Ivy. I'm a seraphim, A Seraph is an angel belonging to the highest order of the ninefold celestial hierarchy. Which means that I get to see the face of the Creator himself. Anyways; I'm on undercover, My alias is 'Ivy', a small town girl who just moved today in Nightstar cove and has received an enrolment for the local school, Idriam High.
Back to the story:
The light crawled to my face, prying it open; everything stood silent, all but the tedious ticking of the clock. Not a really good start to my day. The Kitchen was full of delicious aromas of food, and not to mention, the appearance of my handsome brother; Lucas, his crystal blue eyes, perfect body and hazelnut hair brought a smile to my face.

"Morning Luke, morning Sis" A voice said; my eyes followed to the direction the voice came from, it was my sister Sarah. Her appearance is almost the equal to that of my brother's; crystal blue eyes, perfect body and hazelnut hair.
They both came with me on this mission, it was just the next day of our mission, and already, Sarah found nicknames for me and Lucas.
"Better get to school Angelic." They both said in unison, I nodded in reply and then fixed myself up. The warm water dripping on my face, the soft touch of my clothes, and the cool morning breeze;
I am ready.

The cold air touched my face, causing me to succumb to the warmth of my siblings embrace. I turn around the corner of the house, and found a car. The drive was short, no more than ten minutes. But it felt really long, regardless of the short drive.

(At School)
The whole area was desolate,the eerie silence interrupted by a bell; later on intervened by footsteps. I turned around and saw a whole mob of students moving quickly towards my direction, my mind kept on telling me to move; but nothing happened; just as I was about to get trampled by the mob, a firm grasp held onto my wrist and pulled me away from the excruciating pain I was about to experience.

"Hi my name is Molly, I'm new to this school, are you too? Hey, nice outfit! Oh you should try this lipstick! Wait!
Do you wanna be friends!?"she said all of that in just one breath, and I was finding it hard to process what she had said, so, I just answered with a nod.

"Cool! See ya in class!"she said, before disappearing into the hallway. I was now left all alone again, in that empty place, I even wished for the mob to trample over me now, but nothing came. I just walked through the hallway as quickly and quietly as I can, I turned around the next corner and then *BUMP*.
"Ouch!" I mumbled in pain.
"Sorry" the voice said. I stood up, and looked at the person that I bumped over from, apparently, it was a young and handsome boy. I froze, he was so gorgeous. He offered to help me pick up my books that fell of my hands, and take me to my next class; I didn't decline his offer though. Just when he placed my books onto my arms; our faces drew close, my cheeks turned red and I had to conceal it behind my books, hoping he won't notice.
"Anyways, you better get to class, I'm Jake by the way, nice to meet you".
"I'm Ivy, I hope to see you soon Jake!" I blurted out, I mentally facepalmed; but just by his face, just in the corner, I could see him smirking.

Well school's finished, I thought to myself. But still, I couldn't stop thinking about Jake, to how humane his actions were towards me. It feels like it's been a whole week since I last saw him, regardless of the fact that I only just saw him today, this morning.
Just then........Bump! The hard cold floor touching my body, lockers and people surrounding me, staring at me. A hand came up to my face and I looked up to see whose hand it was and found it to be Jake's hand. Right now only he was staring at me, waiting for a response of some sort, whilst the other students are walking about and turning their attention back to whatever they've been doing before.
I stood up, and took a step...but ended up falling over again, but this time, I felt something warm and safe keep me from touching the cold floor, It was Jake........again, who had caught me. I was in slight shock, my eyes were locked into his, as if I was expecting an answer. But then I felt the smooth end of something touch my lips, I blushed; everything was silent, no one else looked at me, it's like everything was on mute. It was when I saw Jake give a small peck to my lips, as if just to answer me.
I thought I was a disdained girl to every student. Especially since I was an Angel, If I make an analogy between Angels and Humans; through my point of view, I would find that I think humans are the most greatest of God's creations. Although when I think about it, I find it to be slightly nieve.

I soon left School and walked back home to my house, still dazzled, still amazed, still breathless. Just then a thought popped into my head, It could be Jake that I could start off with to protect in this town; because, I know that Jake is quite popular(judging by the fact that a lot of people follow him around, always enjoying his presence),which means that If he ever dies, people would find it really sad and suspicious, which could be the target of the dark forces I'm protecting this town from. This could cause the town into pandemonium. So.....
Watch out Darkness, cause the guardian angels have arrived!
And Ain't nothing's gonna stop us!
