"Mom! Enough! I'm full..." Janet giggled as she saw her mother serve all of her favorite dishes that she prepared.
"I will miss you." Her mom hugged her as she said.
"I'll miss you too mom, but you're acting as if I'll not be able to get food in the next 1 month."
"Look Janet, you'll be leaving us tomorrow, I'll not be able to see you for more than a month!"
Her father consoled her mom, "Nora, we will go meet her. Don't worry. When we will go to Paris; you can carry all your handmade foods there."
"Oh, I know Mr. Coach, but... I really don't want her to go." Her mom sighed.
"Nora, you have to be strong. Don't be a distraction."
"I know... I know, but it's really hard. Who knows what danger she has to face there?! I'm getting a sick feeling about this. On top of that, it's her first time going out of the country, but parents aren't even allowed!" She huffed, "Ridiculous!"
Jane, who was creating different, or I must say some weird structures on her plate, decided to finally speak up.
"Mom, don't you worry! I'll come home for sure but...." she dramatically paused, her mother raised a brow wanting her to complete the line, "with a gold medal!!"
"That's what we also want little champ! Your mother is..." He trailed off.
"I'm what?" Her mother snapped.
"Too much protective over you." He laughed heartily. "But trust me dear, she'd never do something that may harm you."
Janet smiled, "I know dad."
"Okay now, finish it!" As they all started talking and giggling with each other, and a relief washed over her as she tried to make herself understand that everything was going to be okay.

Next day, as Janet woke up and stretched as she opened the window, a gust of cold wind hit her face. Flight was at evening; it'd be approximately of 5hrs. She stared out of the window and thought about her friends, one of her friends actually asked her, if she was going to make any boyfriends there.
Nah, boyfriends aren't for me. I'm better off single.
She remembered their conversation.
"Well, are you going to make any boyfriends there?" The girl, Kate, with whom she used to hang out most, asked.
"What do you think I'm going there for, Kate?" Janet rolled her eyes.
