the surprise

Pedro was having a tough time on set. He couldn't seem to focus on anything and his mind kept wandering to thoughts of Y/N, who he hadn't heard from in hours, which wasn't like him at all, usually they were texting each other constantly y/n sharing lots of photos of where he was and whatever he was doing. He had tried calling and texting, but Y/N wasn't responding, and Pedro was starting to worry.

y/n's pov:

he had just boarded his flight and put his phone on airplane mode, hoping that Pedro wouldn't worry too much, despite this being very unusual behaviour for him. he had hurried to finish his work a few days early so he could go home and surprise Pedro, missing him dearly after being away for such a long period of time.

the plane landed and he rushed to be the first off, pushing past everyone and rushing out, speeding through the airport and getting a taxi to a random street nearby the set of the mandolorian, so he wouldn't reveal the location.

once he got there he found dave filoni, one of the directors who was a good friend of y/n as they had worked on other projects together. he had told dave about the surprise and asked him where Pedro would be. Dave told him that Pedro was in his trailer moping around like a sad puppy, sad because he hadn't heard anything from Y/n all day. Y/n laughed and thanked Dave, heading to Pedro's trailer and standing outside the door.

pedro's pov:

As he sat in his trailer, trying to regain his focus,head in his hands, he heard a knock on the door. "Come in," he called out, expecting to see one of the crew members.

To his surprise, it was Y/N standing in the doorway, a big smile on his face. Pedro's heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight of his boyfriend, who he hadn't seen in what felt like forever, but was actually just under three months.

"What are you doing here?" Pedro asked, still in shock, his voice raising an octave as he sat up straight on the sofa eyes wide in shock.

"I wanted to surprise you," Y/N said, walking over to give Pedro a hug. "I finished my work early and managed to get a flight out here."

Pedro pulled Y/N into a tight embrace, squeezin the life out of him as Y/N chuckled softly kissing pedro softly. Pedro felt the weight of the last day lift off his shoulders. "I missed you so much," he said, his voice filled with emotion, tears brimming in his eyes.

"I missed you too," Y/N replied, leaning in for a kiss. "I'm sorry for not responding to your texts. I wanted to surprise you."

Pedro couldn't help but smile as he looked into Y/N's eyes. "You definitely succeeded," he said, feeling his spirits lift. "I was starting to worry that something had happened." he pulled Y/n down to sit next to him on the sofa, cuddling into him like a koala, placing kisses all over whilst Y/n laughed trying to wiggle out of Pedro's strong grip to no avail. 

'my loveee let me gooo' Y/n whined

'neverr' Pedro said flipping them over placing an arm on either side of Y/n's head hovering over him before collapsing on top of him as Y/n let out and exhasperated oof kind of sound wrapping his arms around Pedro.

Y/N spent the rest of the day with Pedro on set, watching him film and catching up on everything that had happened since they last saw each other, which wasn't much since they had basically texted each other 24/7. They went out for dinner that night, to a restauruant they had been going to for years, that had always protected their privacy which they were both very grateful for. They held hands and laughed like they hadn't a care in the world.

 After dinner, As they walked back to Pedro's hotel room, Y/N could see the relief and happiness in Pedro's eyes, and he had nothing but love and adoration in his eyes for his loving boyfriend, so happy to finally be home to him, even though their home was miles away Pedro was all he needed, and he knew that surprising him had been the right thing to do. It was a reminder that no matter how tough things got, they would always be there for each other, and their love would never waver.
