On one of the only days off in the past few weeks, pedro and (Y/N) decided to relax and un-wind for once. They had heard about a pottery painting studio near the set they were filming at and decided that it would be fun.
As they entered the studio, the air was filled with the scent of fresh clay and the chatter of couples on dates or quiet strangers. The shelves were adorned with blank pottery pieces, waiting to be transformed into unique works of art. the whole place was warm and welcoming, the bright sun shining through the front window and bright green plants hung from rope baskets or lay strewn out along the oak floorboards. a few tabby and calico cats where bathing in the sunlight, lying belly up on bookshelves or the windowsills, purring happily.
Pedro and (Y/N) chose a cosy corner with a view of the sunlight streaming through the windows. They were handed a set of blank mugs, brushes, and an array of colourful paints. Their eyes sparkled with anticipation as they began to plan their designs.
"(Y/N), what do you think we should paint on our mugs?" Pedro asked, his excitement mirroring (Y/N)'s.
"Hmm, well i was planning on (design) but i know your not that arty so you do whatever you feel like love." (Y/N) suggested, his fingers drumming thoughtfully on the surface of the mug.
Pedroacted as if he had just been shot with an arrow, mouth and eyes open wide and a hand on his heart as he dramatically fell back into his chair. "I have amazing artistic talent i don't know what your talking about!" he grins cheekily and dips his paintbrush in some paint, leaning over the table and brushing it over (Y/N)'s cheek.
(Y/N) scoffed and wiped the paint off his face, scowling at pedro. "i would do it back, but i'm choosing to be the bigger person" he said with a sigh, crossing his arms over his chest, but a small grin started forming on his face and after a few more moments he quickly grabbed his own paintbrush and swiped a streak of blue paint on pedro's moustache making him laugh. before pedro had time to react (Y/N) had whipped out his phone and taken a picture.
pedro just grumbled and wiped the paint off, acting like a toddler having a tantrum. despite his fake grumpiness his heart warmed at the sight of his boyfriends laughter and the way his eyes lit up. he was drawn back from his thoughts at (Y/N) gently shkaing his shoulder.
"whatcha got that dreamy look on your face for hm? thinking about me?" pedro nodded without a second thought, a big dopey grin spreading across his face and making his eyes crinkle up.
(Y?N) retracted his arm and sighed happily, he took a brief moment to admire pedro too, taking in everything so that the image could be burnt into the back of his eyes forever.
With that, they began to paint, their brushes moving with care and precision. Pedro chose soft pastel colors, creating delicate swirls and patterns that slightly resembled a kindergarteners art piece but also an abstract painting from a museum at the same time. (Y/N), on the other hand, went for (design) that he executed to a high level.
As they worked side by side, the world around them seemed to fade away, leaving only the sound of their laughter and the gentle hum of creativity. They felt a sense of peace and connection, their souls intertwining with every brushstroke. they both would take brief breaks from painting to look up at the other and just take in the way their eyebrows would furrow in concentration, or Pedro would slightly stick his tongue out.
As the afternoon turned into evening, they finally put their brushes down, their mugs complete and ready for the final step. The studio staff guided them through the process of glazing and firing the pottery, preserving their artwork for eternity.A few days later, they returned to the studio to collect their finished mugs. When they held them in their hands, they were filled with pride and joy, admiring one another's art.
Back home, they made a tradition of using their personalised mugs for morning coffee or late-night hot chocolate. Each time they held the mugs, they were reminded of the beautiful date they had shared, the laughter, the love, and the art they had created together.
and after the date, (Y/N) posted a picture to instagram captioned "pottery date, the paint may have ended up more on our faces then the mugs"
attached was the photo you had taken.
