The morning alarm blasts out making her arm fill up with shivers. "Fucking radar sound." Adelina mutters as she pulls the cover over her head. The clock was set on 7:30 meaning it was time to go up and fix herself for the first day of university.
After rubbing away any eye-spill she sits up, staring at nothing in particular until she registerers the fact that she is awake. She slips out of the cover and turn on the light in the ceiling. After letting out a groan while looking at herself in the mirror she makes her way to the bathroom.
Splashing ice cold water immediately rouse her up. She goes to the "kitchen" to start her day with breakfast. The kitchen in question was in the same space as her "bedroom". Everything was basically a big room, except there was a corner curving after the kitchen where her bed stands perfectly disguised for someone who first walks in.
The rest of her dorm was quite simple. A table for four, which she will be using as a studying desk, and that is pretty much it. However she loves going second-hand shopping to find unique decorations. Her home was quite decorated, making it look like she's been living there for longer.
She takes out a pot filling it with oats and water. She sprinkle a little cinnamon on as it starts to heat up. Even though she loves her cinnamon oatmeal with banana she gags a little bit, because it was way too early for her to eat.
After her morning- and makeup routine she looks at the clothes neatly folded on one of the kitchen chairs. She puts on a crocheted blouse on styling it with a pair of wide low raised grey pants. Accessing the pants with a broad brown belt and some jewellery.
Adelina may not always had enough money to buy herself the best clothes, but she has always love to spice up her outfits with small accessories to not feel as basic. The best she usually finds herself treasure at vintage stores.
Packing everything she remembers that she needs in a brown shoulder bag, she puts on her white converse before leaving out the door. She knew no one at her new school. Or at least that she knows of.
Her first class is math with...She looks down at her paper with information of what classroom and professor. Mr.Ackerman.
Adelina looks down at her left wrist to see that the clock shows 8:35. She was 25 minutes early, but she heard that the classes usually gets crowded twenty minutes beforehand. She sits down on one of the last rows by the window since everyone who had taken a seat was across the room.
She did want to make friends, but math is one of the subjects she actually needed to pay attention to pass the class. Also she kinda sucks at making friends as they usually don't appreciate her humor, or her in general. It is understandable she thinks to herself almost smirking. Adelina is very smart however. She has always been called "mature" for her age, but honestly she just think the people who's said that, did because of her mother.
She is intelligent. Her grades have always been good and she has an exquisite memory. The only problem with her is her attention span which is shorter than a gold fish's memory measure.
"Is it okay if I take this seat?"
Adelina turns around to see a boy standing their in a little shy-ish manner. She furrows her eyebrows wondering why he had to take a seat next to her in a half empty classroom. She scowls even deeper when she notices the classroom to almost be fully seated.
After realizing that she must have zooned out for solid ten seconds, she nods at the boy and say "Be my guest." with a monotone voice. Adelina looks out the window again losing herself to daydreaming.
"I like your bracelet." The boy on the right says as he smiles softly. She looks down to see that he was pointing at her white and beige seashell bracelet. "Thank you, I made it myself." She says half smiling. "Oh really?!" the boy says excitedly.
"No." Her mouth forms a straight line.
"Oh" Adelina hears besides her as she watches the professor walk in the door. He was kinda short with black hair styled in a formal way. As she watches how the professor smoothly takes out all his necessity, she pursed her lips almost finding his mannerism attractive. Well, so much for being able to focus on the math.
When it's ten minutes left of the class Professor Ackerman tells everyone to go through their notes and see if there is something he needed to go through again. Everyone starts doing their own thing.
Adelina looks through her notes, having no question pop into her mind. She starts to pack her stuff and when she's finished, she just sits back and wait out the last minutes. The boy on her right turn his head to her and she kinda just sideyes him, not knowing if he is indicating a conversation or not.
"What's your name?" He asks, completely unbothered that she has been radiating off nothing but 'It's way too early to interact' the whole morning. "Adelina" She says looking at the boy. "That's pretty, i like that" he says half smiling to himself.
"You have a name?" She asks tilting her head slightly since he wasn't introducing himself. "Oh sorry, I'm Armin Arlert." He says scratching his backhead and chuckling at his own silliness. "Cool." She says as she pouts her lift, narrowing her eyes trying to think of something she wanted to ask. When she realize that she does not care to know anything she just stands up and walks out of the classroom.
Armin pace after the girl with the pretty bracelet, taking all his notes in one hand and his bag in the other. As he attempts to efficiently put down his math drafts, he starts speaking again.
"What class do you have now?" He asks. Adelina slightly turns her head confused why the boy was still besides her. "Psychologically." She answers. "Nice, me too." Armin says as he continues to walk in the same pace as her.
After psychology Armin now felt like he was on friendly terms with Adelina as they leave the classroom togheter. Adelina has no idea what she has answered yes to since she just nodded every time the blonde boy spoke, not really listen to him.
"So...ready for lunch?" Armin asks as he press on his phone, probably texting someone. "Huh?" Adelina ask him. "You said you wanted to grab lunch with my friends." He answers, a little perplexity covering his face expression. She tries to remember ever uttering that.
When she curse herself for probably agreeing to more plans without her knowledge. She tucks in her lips as she says "Oh yeah." not fooling anyone with the confusion laced in her words.
They walk to the cafeteria togheter and as they get closer to the tables Adelina hears a loud voice letting everyone know that "Armin we are over here!". Armin search where the voice came from and as he sees a brunette girl in a pony tail his face lights up with recognition.
"There they are" Armin says as he started to speed walk towards the group munching on their lunch.
"Lovely" Adelina sarcastically express to herself quietly.
