Danielle's POV
"Thanks Carrie for driving me." I say, my uneasiness slipping into my voice. Clutching the tote closer to me, I breathe out a sigh of relief.
Carrie is my old high school friend. She doesn't know much about me and my problems, but she and I clicked near graduation, and we've been friends ever since.
"No problem. You've been through so much with him that I just want to beat his ass." She murmured, making me laugh.
"We'll have to do that one time!" I joke, and we both laugh.
The rest of the ride was silent, and she drops me off at a hotel for the night.
~Flashback over~
Looking around, I feel Josh's arms around me and I breathe a silent sigh of relief. I can see that the time is almost eightish, and I snuggle into Josh again.
I lay there beside him and wait until I heard him mutter a "Huh?"
"Morning!" I murmur, brushing the bangs out of his eyes
