Chapter 4: Ex's and the O's

"Sai sighed. Heh." Kiba chuckled at his own joke. Sai remained stony faced. "Naruto wants to see you." Sai said, frowning. "Eh, tell 'em to wait." Kiba said, swiveling his chair around. Sai grabbed the top of the chair to stop it. "No. he wants you now." Sai said. Kiba blinked. Usually Naruto wasn't uptight with him. "Uh, Okey Dokey. Why?" Kiba asked, getting up. Sai remained silent. "C'mon. Spill." Sai remained quiet yet again.

"Tell me ma-" Sai swiftly grabbed his color and cut him off. "Listen to me Kiba. I only tolerate you because Naruto thinks you're some great friend. But trust me, I have pleaded for you to be fired many times. I despise you with a burning passion. I will not answer any of your questions unless absolutely required, So stop. Asking." Sai said, letting go of Kiba. "Damn. Sorry bro. Didn't know where you were on your period." Kiba said, Rolling his eyes. "Drop dead." Sai said, continuing to walk. "Already tried that." Kiba said.

"Next time, try harder." Sai said, Glaring at the floor. "Will do, hot shot." Kiba said, pulling out his phone. He'd recently been talking to some girl. She was pretty cute. "Ooooh, Sai, guess what." Kiba said, grinning like a dog who just got a bone. Does he ever shut up? Sai wondered. "I met some girl online who's using the fake name cherry. And guess what else. She's got some pretty big cherries!" Kiba said. "First, talking like that about a woman is extremely disrespectful. So stop. Second, talking to people online is dangerous and could result in kidnapping or death. So please continue." Sai said.

Kiba snarled. "Chill Prince goody two shoes. Who put a stick-no wait. Who put a royal scepter up your ass?" Kiba growled. Sai opened the door to Sasuke's office. Once both inside, Sai shut the door. Kiba nervously laughed. "What's with mood." Everyone except Sasuke (who was munching on popcorn enjoying the drama) had a odd look on there face. "You....fucked my fiance." Naruto said, looking at his hands. "Correction. Girlfriend." Kiba said. "And that makes it better, How?" Gaara asked. Sai had told Gaara about what was going on, being that he figured Gaara should know. "She seduced me, bro." Kiba said, putting his hands up.

Sasuke's phone began ringing. "Uh, sorry to interrupt the family feud shit, but I gotta take this." Sasuke said. Naruto nodded. Sasuke stepped out of the room. "Hello Itachi." Sasuke said, As he opened the glass doors at the end of the hallway that led onto the balcony. "Hello Sasuke. How's the new workplace." Itachi asked. "Awesome. I don't have to do crap. I can just sit around all day, slam girls, and watch drama unfold. Oh, And the boss is super hot. I have plans to fuck him." Sasuke said, Nonchalant as though it was normal. "Oh?" Itatchi said through the line. "Hell yeah. He's a total feminine blue eyed blond haired little ray of sunshine that I would enjoy slamming." Sasuke said. "Let's keep some stuff to ourselves, yeah?" Itachi chuckled.

"Says you. The first time you and your boyfriend rode the phoenix light trail, you overshared. Like a lot. Ruined my poor innocent mind." Sasuke said. "Hardly innocent. As much as I would love to drag our conversation on, I can't. I called to tell you something." Itachi said. "Yeah? And what would that be?" Sasuke asked, pulling out a cigarette. "Father decided your staying there for a year." Itachi said. "Hm. Alright." Sasuke pulled out a lighter from his pocket. "I expected you to be upset about that." Itachi said, genuinely surprised. "As long as I get to spend that time with my little fox, I don't mind." Sasuke said, lighting the cigarette.

There was a beep. "Hello?" Sasuke said. He looked at the phone screen. Itachi must have accidentally hung up. He leaned against the balcony and stared outwards at the huge city. Clouds hung low signaling rain. He heard the opening and shutting of the door behind him, as Naruto joined him by the balcony. "So. How's the fiancee fiasco?" Sasuke asked. Naruto didn't remove his eyes from the lights below. "Ex. She's my ex." Naruto said, grimly staring. "Hm."

"I'm not sure if I should say sorry, or your welcome right now." Sasuke said. Naruto scoffed. "Sasuke pulled out another cigarette, lit it with his own, and handed it to Naruto. There was a long stretch of silence between them. Sasuke felt a raindrop fall onto his hands. "It's raining." Sasuke noticed. Naruto remained quiet. "I'm going inside." Sasuke said, dropping his cigarette over the balcony. Naruto nodded. Sasuke glanced at Naruto. He really is pretty. Even when he's depressed.
