Late at night, Danny worked on recording his latest video speaking happily into his camera.

"If you're not subscribed yet make sure to subscribe and turn on my notifications to join Greg. Greg's what I call my subscriber base here on YouTube. We are the fastest-growing army on YouTube, please do not look that up. Hope you guys enjoyed this one! Bye!"

Danny finished his video with a warm smile, then reached for his camera and quickly turned it off, after which his smile instantly disappeared, replaced by a dead-cold stare. He hated this idiocy. Lowering himself to countless insects. It was known only to him that he hadn't randomly decided to call his followers "Greg" but chose it because it was the lamest name he knew. A fitting title for the people he despised. His phone vibrated on his desk, and he picked up the device to read a message from Martin, his most trusted servant.

"The preparations for the ritual are completed, we are ready for you."

Danny smiled again, but this time without a glint of warmth, a dark sadistic smile. He was ready to take his place as master of a world enveloped in darkness. Leaving his office, Danny told his wife they needed to get more La Croix and he walked outside. He went out to the street to meet Martin, holding the door open to a black SUV.

"Hello, master! The evening is perfect for your ritual." Martin said.

"YOU SPEAK WHEN SPOKE TO MAGGOT MARTIN!" Danny shrieked as he entered the vehicle and sat in a seat in the back.

Martin sat rigid as he began to drive. He feared more and more his master was discontent with his servitude and if he was he would surely perish. Of course this was irrelevant to Danny as unbeknownst to Martin, Danny planned to destroy him the moment he served his purpose, and nothing would change that.

Martin pulled into the underground parking garage of a decrepit abandoned hospital. They were surrounded by darkness with the only light from the SUV's headlights Martin stopped the car and exited, an opened Danny's door, with Danny making a hateful glare at Martin as he got out of the vehicle, he snapped his fingers and transformed his clothing into an all-black suit. Danny then walked into the darkness with Martin following close behind. Martin couldn't see anything as he walked in pure blackness and by complete mistake, Martin bumped into Danny.

"I'm so sorry master! Please forgive me, have mercy on your most faithful of servants!" He shuddered in terror, with tears beginning to stream down his face.

Martin braced himself, hearing nothing, looking around aimlessly in the darkness. In a panic, Martin ran back to the SUV as fast as he could. A wave of relief washed over him as he got into the vehicle and sped off.

"Maggot Martin" whispered Danny behind him. Martin turned around to find Danny sitting directly behind him. The SUV suddenly jolted to a halt, the doors sealed shut as Martin attempted to flee. Danny stared at him with a seemingly emotionless face, and without any warning, Danny flicked Martin in the left eye turning it into maggots.

"Maggot" Danny declared with a snide grin. Pushing Martin into the front passenger seat Danny drove back to the hospital. Danny exited again, this time dragging Martin along into the darkness by his legs pulling him along with an invisible magic, all the while with Martin writhing in pain. Opening a steel door in the parking garage Danny entered a large room where a group of people cloaked in black bowed before him. One of which silently offered Danny an ice-cold La Croix.

"Ohh yummy!" Danny said gleefully as he grabbed the drink, taking a sip as he inspected the ritual area. His servants silently watched Martin slumped quietly on the floor in pain, too afraid to ask what had happened.

"Oh hell yeah, nice!" Danny exclaimed.

"Now I know we had procured a Greg for the ritual but Martin here has volunteered himself for that role. He is after all my most faithful servant."

Martin begins to squirm frantically attempting to escape the grip of Danny's magic, pleading for his life.

"Martin! Common man! You should feel honored, your soul is going to be torn apart and remolded into a spawn of pure evil!"

"Now how many people get to say that?"

Danny looked up at his other servants.

"Prepare him." He said politely.

"Yes, Master." They muttered in unison.

The ritual required seven sacrifices. One of which Danny must complete himself and the rest to be completed by those of his subscribers the newly born Demon would soon corrupt. The first sacrifice is the most important, through a ritual spell the sacrificed will have their soul torn from their body. Once the soul is taken away, additional spells are used to shred the soul apart and spawn a fledgling demon from it, endowed with the essence of its creator.

At this stage the demon is incredibly fragile, so its form must be solidified. To do this the creator must send it to torment their enemies or anyone who summons it. Feeding on their belief, on their fear, the demon will grow stronger. The demon will then corrupt the weakest among its believers into offering it souls, and its existence on our astral plane will solidify with every offering.

After Danny's servants finished preparing poor Martin for the ritual, he lay bound and gagged on the cold cement floor the only warmth coming from the circle of candles surrounding him. He cried silently wishing he hadn't been so foolish.

Danny and his servants begin chanting the incantations to remove Martin's soul. A red light appeared below him, covering his body. Martin howled in unimaginable agony. The red light rose above his body encasing a transparent version of Martin within.

"Am I dead?" The apparition of Martin asked in bewilderment.

"No... not yet!" Danny said cruely as he began the spell to tear apart Martin's soul. It was as though an invisible blender was turning Martin into a translucent shapeless vapor. The red light vanished along with the form of Martin's apparition. The vapor slowly touched the floor and from it, a hideous creature emerged. It looked like Danny but as evil on the outside as he was on the inside. It was pale with sunken black eyes and tattered clothes. It was as beautiful as Danny had hoped it would be!

Afterward, with the first sacrifice of the ritual completed one of Danny's servants drove him home where he had a lovely meal sponsored by HelloFresh.
