𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐅𝐀𝐋𝐋.

𝖤𝖵𝖤𝖱 𝖲𝖨𝖭𝖢𝖤 𝖳𝖧𝖤 𝖥𝖠𝖫𝖫 𝖨𝖳𝖲 𝖦𝖮𝖳𝖳𝖤𝖭 𝖶𝖮𝖱𝖲𝖤．

-𝐊𝐘𝐍𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐒 𝐏𝐎𝐕-

𝖠dalyn had always had something wrong with her, I just never understood it. Of course when we were younger I definitely didn't know, i just hated her because she would yell and get so mad, we do have a pretty big age difference.

Right now, 18 and 15. It's only 3 years but still, i just turned 15 this year and she is going to turn 19 in a couple months so it's really 4 years.

Anyways, she wasn't always like that it just happened one day when i was 5 and she was 9 and she came back from our uncles house, at the time for the last couple of weeks after she came back she hated taking baths, showers, even changing. She also would be having bad stomach pain along with her crying at night because of it.

Something happened and we never saw our uncle again I don't know where he went, but I hated her because, well not HATE. That's too much of a strong word so let's just say we had problems. She would get mad when I touched her, even on accident, she yelled at me and even pushed me and hit me a couple times because she was fed up with me.

Now a days I think about it, if I should ask what happened but I probably never will.

As I watch her climbing a tree with her bag I wonder why she does, she always did as a kid and actually fell a couple times yet, she still does it.

"Come on, you know I ain't leaving you down there" I heard her yell with her thick southern accent, I don't know why she did because her yelling is gonna attract those rotters, I don't even know what they are called.

I rushed to the tree "Shut up, your gonna attract those skanks" I said to Adalyn "I know, I attract everyone" she said and I could tell she was grinning "Oh shut up," I laughed a little, which is what i haven't had in a little because we usually just argue, stay silent or talk about the rotters "I might take a little, I ain't no master at this like you are, I climbed my princess bunk bed not trees" And we both laughed.

I took my time climbing up and after about 7 minutes I got up.

-𝐁𝐎𝐓𝐇 𝐏𝐎𝐕𝐒-

"I wonder if there is anyone else near here, we don't have a lot of food and water left" Kynlee had said "I'd only expect police officers or rednecks like dad to be alive" As soon as she mentioned their dad Kynlee sighed.

"I miss him, it was just those two walkers" Kynlee said "I wonder what started this disease or whatever it is" Adalyn said and Kynlee nodded but looked down.

"It's my fault" Adalyn quickly looked at her, "What was?" Kynlee hesitated, but she said it as she felt a lump in her throat forming, she wanted to cry so bad.

"I saw those two walkers in the woods down next to the river, one of the rotters legs got stuck in a hole in the sand and I wanted to shoot it but I was too busy laughing, I heard something behind me and it was the other rotter but I panicked and I ran away, if I killed it dad wouldn't have died"

I looked at my sister and hearing her made me feel like shit. As I saw her face as she looked up I didn't know what to say or do but I saw a tear come out of her eye, and without thinking I wiped her tears and held her face.

"I don't want to hear you talk like that again, that had nothing to do with you, you know that. I know we have had our ups and downs but know that i'm still here for you." I was careful because we are sitting on a tree branch. It wouldn't break though, it's just about falling off of it like I did a lot when I was younger.

I kissed her forehead.
