It was just before midday when Hope woke to someone pounding on her door.

Reluctantly Hope sighed and got up, pulling her sweatpants back on and opening the door with a yawn

"Hope Andrea you have final exams in less than one hour and I know we barely talk, but I won't let you miss them because as much as you like to be rude and all emo you're still my friend I guess, as much as you hate it," Lizzie Saltzman spoke in a rushed tone.

"Lizzie go away I'll be ready by then," Hope muttered annoyed as she went back to her bed and lay down.

Hope was still dizzy from last night, and maybe on a better day she would've apologised to the girl, but as of now too much of her energy had been taken.

Luckily Lizzie on the other hand, was used to this sort of attitude from the people around her, so took no notice to it.

Fumbling through Hope's draws Lizzie pulled out a pair of jeans and a top for Hope to wear and threw them ontop her sprawled out form on the bed.

"Urgh lizzie stop," Hope mumbled her face buried in her blanket.

"Come on get up, get dressed, wash your face you look like shit. And then maybe Ill invite you and your other druggie friends to the after finals party at the old mill," Lizzie said attempting to convince Hope but had to end up dragging her up by her arms.

"Lizzie please go I promise I'll be ready for the exam. I just want to be alone right now," Hope spoke with a smile hoping it'd persuade her to go.

"Okay fine but take this," lizzie said handing her an aspirin "you look like you need it,"

"Thanks," Hope spoke quietly.

Lizzie left the room and quietly shut the door. She went in search of Josie. It became a sort of ritual for the two that Lizzie would calm her down before any exams they had.

Josie was still studying, burying her head in flashcards as her breathing was uneven.

"Jo, I'm here," Lizzie spoke gently as she went to sit by her.

"You'll do great Jo, and even if you fail this entire thing it won't matter at all okay? Just do what you can and then we can all celebrate and get really drunk I promise," Lizzie said, achieving a smile from her twin.

"What if I like.. completely panic. And then I can't write and everyone is staring at me and I can't breathe," Josie said, her voice a little quieter than it should be causing Lizzie to hold her.

"Well if anyone stares at you I'll take out their eyeballs and make them eat them okay? You've got this. I'll be right infront of you in the exam hall, just breathe," Lizzie spoke squeezing her tightly a last time before they lined up for the hall.

Josie sat in her seat, it was near to the door so she was one of the last to go in. Hope still hadn't arrived and there was only about 2 minutes until the exam started.

Josie did worry about her, something was off last night and she couldn't tell if it was 'normal Hope behaviour' or something more.

It was about 5 seconds to start when Hope took the seat just infront to the left of Josie. Josie noticed she looked quite pale,  she hoped she'd be okay enough for the exam.

The examiner instructed to 'open their papers' and Josie could feel her heart enter a trance. All her nerves dissolved into adrenaline and she'd managed to answer every question like it was some sort of animal instinct.

Lizzie was usually quite bored in exams, and found herself making a tower from the different items in her pencil case. She never performed badly as such, but she didn't try to ever get higher than a pass.
