Eleanor hated the outdoors. But that really didn't work out for her, as she was kind of living in the wild. "Eleanora Scarlett Hollister!" Her brother, Mackenzie yelled. She looked up startled at her older brother, who stared down annoyingly at her.
"What?" She asked picking at her nails. Mackenzie sighed and put down his boxing gloves. He walked back over to his sister, who looked at him nervously. "What did I tell you about zoning out during training?" He asked.
Eleanor looked at him pointedly. "To not do it?" She asked, putting her sunglasses on top of her head. The blonde-haired boy laughed sarcastically. "I'm serious! What if you accidentally poofed away?" He asked, waving his arms around.
The young girl laughed. "Come on, I have more control than that! Do you really think I'm that weak?" She asked, putting her hand on her forehead. He rolled his eyes. Though Eleanor could make out a small smile on his as he walked into the house they shared together.
It was a quaint little cottage in the middle of nowhere. No one would ever be able to find them here. Not SHIELD, not HYDRA, not that stupid ex-assassin Natasha, not anyone. They were safe because they had each other. That's all you really need in life, family.
The cottage had a small living room, next to it a small dining room and kitchen. Down the hall were the rooms. Mackenzie had taken the smaller room so Eleanor could have the room closest to the back door, just in case. He technically couldn't die, so when Eleanor suggested she have the smaller room (which was the closest room to the front door), she was vetoed immediately.
There was a bathroom next to her brother's rooms, equipped with shower, sink and toilet. This house was all they needed, besides each other. Mackenzie went over to the kitchen to start dinner. Eleanor sat at the table and flipped through the book they had stolen from some poor women.
"What's for dinner?" She asked. The 17-year-old looked through the fridge. He sighed and opened the cabinets. "Nothing", he muttered, shutting the cabinets. "I'm going to run to the store real quick." He grabbed his coat and kissed his sister on the forehead.
"Okay! Be safe", she said, as he ran out the door. Eleanor sighed and sat down again. Lord knows when he would be back. The shopkeepers had started to get weary about the two kids who always walk into their stores, then leave suspiciously.
"He'll be back." She whispered to no one in particular.

Mackenzie Hollister was in the worst predicament of his life. He was in the market, looking for affordable food to get with the little money he had. All of the shopkeepers looked at him curiously, he hated all the attention. It couldn't get any worse. He was looking through the vegetables. He remembered his sister hatred for vegetables and moved onto the fruit instead.
"Mackenzie Hollister." A gruff voice said. Mackenzie turned on his heel and was met with the one and only, Nick Fury. His eyes widened and he dropped the apple he was holding. The store clerk yelled in disapproval of his now dirty apple.
Mackenzie looked behind him. There were many options right now. He could run, which would likely get him caught. He could stay, which would defiantly get him arrested and probably killed. He wanted to try his luck with the first option.
The coast looked clear enough, so when the time was right, he ran. He couldn't go back to the hell hole that was HYDRA. While he knows Fury works for SHIELD, who knows if HYDRA is secretly keeping tabs on the organization, waiting for them. The wind flowed through his hair as he ran.
Mackenzie yearned for the days where he could run freely with no consequences. Through a meadow perhaps? He also wished his sister would laugh and smile more often, but her face was always gloomy. Eleanor had always talked about going to the big city and becoming a writer. No more could she dream of that.
He ran through crowds of people, hopped over fruit stands, yet Fury was still behind him. "It's no use Mackenzie! There are people everywhere! Even at your house!" Fury yelled from behind him. Mackenzie stopped dead in his tracks. His scuffed shoes hit the curb in front of him as he stopped.
People at his house. With his sister. He turned around and looked the one-eyed man in his eye. He couldn't tell if Fury was bluffing or not. He really hoped he was. Eleanor was his lifeline, the only thing left in the world that mattered to him. It was his parent's dying wish to keep her alive, and that's what he's been doing. Thats what he plans to do in the future.
"What?"
