That day, the two siblings were transferred to a huge helicopter. Eleanor gripped her brothers hand the entire time. To say she was nervous was an understatement. She was terrified. Mackenzie seemed to notice this. He squeezed her hand, and she smiled up at him.
They didn't have many clothes or valuables, but Fury said they had a sponsor that could buy those for them. "Hello. You two must be the Hollister siblings. I'm Agent Maria Hill", a lady said. She stuck out a hand for them to shake. Mackensie took it warily. Eleanor carefully shook Miss Hill's hand.
Maria smiled and led the two on the helicopter. Mackenzie was wary, as he knew how much his sister hated loud noises, and socialization. This would be hell for her. Maria leads them to two seats, far enough away from everyone else.
"Who is that?" Eleanor asked, pointing to a man sitting not to far from them. "I think that's Captain America", he whispered back. She nodded. Mr. America was talking to another agent, who noticed her staring and waved.
The Captain looked over at who Agent Coulson was waving at. Two kids were sat down at the other side of the jet. He stands up and walks over to the two kids. "Hello. I'm Steve Rogers. May I ask for your names?" He asked politely.
Eleanor looked nervously towards her brother. "Hello Mr. Rogers. I'm Mackenzie Hollister, and this is my sister, Eleanor Hollister." Mackenzie introduced, gesturing to himself, then his sister. Steve shook Mackenzie's outstretched hand, but when he went to shake Eleanors, her brother stopped him.
"She's a little shy. It was nice meeting you Captain!" Mackenzie said, shooing Mr. Rogers away. The rest of the trip was quiet, Steve and the other agent (the siblings found out his name was Phil) trying to talk to him a few times. Maria came over the loudspeaker, saying that they had landed.
The jet lands down a massive battleship known as the Helicarrier, Eleanor learned. They followed Agent Coulson and Steve down the ramp, and were met with Mrs. Romanoff. "Agent Romanoff, Captain Rogers." Coulson said. "And I'm sure you two already know Mrs. Romanoff."
"You could say that", Mackenzie said, frowning. Nat smiled, then turned to Coulson. "They need you on the bridge. They're starting the face-trace." Coulson walks away, leaving the two siblings with Natasha and Steve, the group walking towards the railing of the Helicarrier.
"It was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice. I thought Coulson was gonna swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain America trading cards yet?" Natasha asked. Steve looked at the ex-assassin. "They're vintage, he's very proud."
They continue walking until Mackenzie spotted someone. "That over there is Bruce Banner aka the Hulk", he whispered, pointing to a small man wandering around the ship. "I know who Dr. Banner is Mackenzie! He's only the greatest scientist ever!" Eleanor gushed. Her brother smiled.
There wasn't much to do back at the house, so Eleanor just read the books and paper around the house from the person who lived there earlier. Most of them were papers written by Bruce Banner. Steve walked up to Dr. Banner. "Oh, yeah. Hi. They told me you'd be coming", he says awkwardly.
"Word is you can find the cube", Steve said. Bruce laughed awkwardly. Eleanor noticed that everything about him was awkward. "Is that the only word on me?" Bruce asked.
"Only word I care about", Steve responds. Natasha interrupts the conversation. "Dr. Banner, I would like to introduce you to the last-minute members for this project." Steve steps away, revealing the two siblings.
"Meet the Hollister siblings. Mackenzie", she says, and her brother waves. "And Eleanor." She takes a deep breath, before waving. "Dr. Banner I'm a huge fan of your work! Your papers were the only thing to read, so I read them all!" She gushed.
Bruce smiled nervously. "So you're not obsessed with the other guy?" He asked. Eleanor looked at him confused. "What other guy?" She asked, still smiling. Mackenzie stifled a laugh. She looked at her brother in confusion. He just looked back at her with a smile. She stuck out her tongue.
"Never mind", Bruce said. He turned back to Steve and started talking to him again.
"Who is the other guy?" Eleanor asked Natasha. She smirked. "You'll find out soon enough." The young girl sighed, frustrated that no one was telling her anything. Mackenzie smiled down at his sister. "Gentlemen, you might want to step inside in a minute. It's gonna get a little hard to breath", Natasha said.
She started to go inside and the four of them stared at the edge of the ship. The Helicarrier starts to shake as it prepares to take sail. Others aboard strap down planes and jets in preparation. "Is this a submarine?" Eleanor asked. Bruce looked at her.
"Really? They wanted me in a submerged, pressurized metal container?" He asked. The four move closer to the edge of the Helicarrier. Four huge lift fans mounted on the sides starts to lift into the air as the ship takes flight. Steve watches in awe while Bruce just smiles. Eleanor clutches to Mackenzie's arm as he looks around in fright. His hair blew all over the place, as did his sisters.
"Oh, no. This is much worse." Bruce said, smiling still.
