"All right," Willow said, hopping out of the van.

"Hit it, boys! We're goin'. Recon mission," JJ said.

"Uh... I was actually thinking about just doing this by myself. You guys are just...a lot. I don't wanna freak Sarah out."

"I just don't understand why we're involving her at all," Kiara complained.

"We're not involving her," John B reassured her, trying to keep Willow from losing her sanity. "It's more like a business meeting, right?" Willow nodded lightly.

"Look, once we get what we need, you won't have to deal with her again," Willow told her friend. She wasn't gonna promise Kie that she would never see Sarah again but she could promise that Kiara would never see Sarah again. "Plus, we need the map."

"Promise me nothing's happening between you," Kiara said.

"Nothing is happening, Kie," Willow promised, her voice wavering.

"I'm being serious! This isn't about you, and this isn't about us. This is about her. She's gonna get inside your head. Just promise me nothing's happening between you guys."

"I promise."

"That was really believeable," JJ sarcastically told her.

"A hundered percent believeable," Pope added.

"Anyways, I'm gonna take care of business," Willow told them.

"We'll just sit here in the hot ass car," Pope said. "While it's lightning."

***

"Fuck, it's hot in here," John B muttered. "I'm getting the fuck out of here." He hopped out of the van, ignoring the rest of the groups protests. The Hawks Nest was fairly secluded and John B wanted to make sure Willow was okay. He had this feeling in his gut that something was wrong so he started to wander up the trail, wanting to keep an eye on her from afar.

"Hey, stranger," Willow smiled, approaching Sarah as she looked out at the view.

"Hi," Sarah grinned. "I got the map. Do you wanna see?"

"Oh, shit," Willow laughed lightly, softly taking the map from Sarah's hands. They were so engrossed in each other, they didn't notice Topper staring at them from the bottom of The Hawks Nest, John B close behind him.

"Did you tell your crew you were here with me?" Sarah asked.

"Did you?"

"No. I will, thought. I don't care. And I'm breaking up with Topper."

"Really?" Willow asked.

"Yeah. What, you don't think it's a good idea?" Sarah asked, her eyebrows furrowing in confusion.

"No, no, no. I think it's a pretty solid idea."

A loud thunderclap caused Sarah to jump, her arms instinctivly wrapping around Willows neck.

"What are we doing up here?" Sarah laughed.

"I have no idea. You wanna go down?" Willow asked, her face buried in Sarahs neck.

"No." She pulled back slightly and pressed her lips to Willows.

"I knew it, Sarah," The sound of Toppers voice breaking the two apart. "I knew you were lying to me."

"Topper!"

"You're a stupid, lying whore."

"So first I'm a prude and now I'm a whore," Sarah argued.

"Yeah, you are," Topper said, the smell of alcohol heavy on his breath.

"Topper, stop," Willow spoke up, pushing him back lightly.

"Tell her to back off, cause I'm about to beat your fucking ass."

"Man, back off," John B said, hurrying up the steps and pulling Topper back from the girls. "Walk away. Go home."

"You know what I'm gonna do?" Topper said, getting up in John B's face. "I'm about to drown you like your old man."

"Quit it."

"Tell your little guard dog here to back off," Topper told Willow.

"Go home!" John B shouted.

"Sarah, let's talk."

"She doesn't want to," Willow said.

"What did I say?" Topper shouted, pushing John B back. He hit the rail, causing it to break off and John B to plummet towards the ground.

"No," Willow whispered, breaking her stare with an unmoving John B and hurrying down the stairs. She skidded to a stop beside him, dropping to her knees. "Oh, my god. Please, open your eyes."

"Oh, my god," Sarah whimpered, standing behind Willow. "Someone help!"

"Please," Willow sobbed. "Come on, man. You're like my second brother, you're not giving up on me now."

***

"Rafe and Kelce followed me--" JJ said, telling a story as the three left in the van hung around.

"Wait, did you guys here that?" Kiara asked.

"What?" Pope and JJ asked in unison.

"Please, somebody help!" Called the faint voice of Sarah Cameron.

"Shit," Pope muttered, the three of them hurrying out of the van.

***

"Willow! What happened?" Pope asked, the friends running toward them. They watched their friend and sister sob over a mostly limp John B.

"I don't know what to do," Willow whispered to JJ. "Topper shoved him and the rail gave away. He was trying to help me."

"Where the hell is he?" JJ asked, his jaw clenching.

"Please just call someone," Sarah told them. Pope nodded and ran off. JJ dropped to his knees next to Willow and pulled her into his arms. Kiara observed as Sarah stared at Willow with sad and guilty eyes.
