I walk away from the two sitting down on a clean seat. Gilyoung stood in front of me, still holding onto the box of bugs. Wait...
I silently laughed to myself.
"Hey, Gilyoung... come and sit down." I leaned my head back, as I heard shuffling next to me.
The boy shuffled closer to me, leaving barely any space between us. Gilyoung had a traumatized look on his face. Of course, he would want to be close to someone who would comfort him. Although I'm not the right person to come to for that. I ruffled his hair, making him look at me.
"Everything is going to be alright, Gilyoung. Just stick close to me, and everything will be alright, okay?" I said, looking at him.
"Okay, but... how are we going to survive... this?" He asked.
"You'll see..." Leaving him unanswered.
He huffed. I chuckled at his actions, ruffling his hair once again.
I looked at the man with pitch black hair, and there he was, his face was stuck on his phone... Why would he be on his phone at a time like this...?
The woman next to him spoke up, "Dokja, shouldn't we try to stop them?"
Dokja...? What a weird name. ʰᵃʰᵃʰᵃ! The lady that was with him was trembling, and it is very, and I mean, very noticeable. I glanced over to see what she was talking about.
"Fuck. Where the hell do you think you're going?" A teenage boy said coldly towards an old woman.
"Ugh...!"
"Shut your mouth." He grabbed the old lady by the collar, raising his hand.
"Please...! L-Let me go...!" The old woman begged.
SMACK
He hit the old lady very hard.
"Didn't I tell you to shut up?" He had this cold look on his face. He continuously hit her, I trembled as a smirk made its way on to my face. This was honestly the kind of excitement I needed in my life... Normally I would have got up and taught the kid a lesson but this is different.
"What do you think you're doing?" The man with the slicked back hair from earlier yelled, grabbing the teenagers' wrist.
"You little brat. Didn't they teach you to respect your elders...?!"
"Huh?" He looked back at him in a nonchalant way. "What the hell, old man? Do you wanna die too?"
He yanked his wrist out of his hand.
"...What?"
"Can't you see what's going on here?"
"What the hell are you talking about, you brat?!"
He pointed at the still playing screen showing other different scenarios, "Over there. Don't you see that?
"Don't you get it? The army isn't going to save us. And someone has to die."
'To be honest... He is speaking the truth. Logically you got to think of the worst-case scenario to get through this situation... it's kind of like kill or be killed to survive, which is the kind of scenario we're all in. Although I see were the kid is getting at, there are other ways to survive...' I thought, looking at the white haired teenager.
"W-what are you-?"
"We... Have to pick the ones who will die." He spoke with venom before continuing, "I know exactly what you're thinking. You think we're above all that. How can we kill others just to survive like we're some kind of animal? Normally I would have agreed with you. But what about the situation we're in now?"
He continued his rant, "We have no choice. It's kill or be killed. Who can blame us when our own lives are on the line? Think wisely. The world you knew just ended. And in this new world... We have new rules to follow."
He got used to this new lifestyle fast, he then continued to bash the old lady's face in. Encouraging others to join him.
I got up from my seat kneeling in front of Gilyoung. "Hey, Gilyoung. I have a secret, you know how you have to kill an living organisms, right? You don't need to kill a human being, just kill a cricket that you have in your box. Just don't tell anyone, alright?"
He gave a quick nod.
"Good." I stood up ruffling his hair once again before making my way over to Dokja and the lady next to him, it looked like she was about to run and stop them from killing the old lady.
I quickly grabbed her shoulder to stop her from getting herself killed.
"You're going to get yourself killed if you try to stop them, so I suggest staying put. Seriously, don't be reckless." I said blankly.
"I know but..." She looked back at me.
"They'll just kill you too, Sangah..." Dokja said.
Supposedly; Sangah, she looked to the people who were brutally hitting the old woman. I was about to say something to her but I got cut off by Dokja.
"Sangah, and [Nam]- y-you stay here." He told us, it sounded like he was about to say my name...?
"It's [Name] [Last name]." I said sternly.
He took Sangah by the shoulders, sitting her down. He was about to do the same with me but I glared at him. He paused awkwardly.
"Kim Dokja." He stuck his hand out to shake hands. I looked at his hand then his face. Now that I look at him closely I can't really see his face. It's kind of blurry... It's weird.
I paid no attention to it and shook his hand then quickly let go. I look toward the group of people that are trying to kill the old woman.
"So... what are you going to do?" I feel his eyes on me.
He didn't respond. All he did was walk forward as if waiting for something...
BAAANG
A gust of wind blew past me, my hair flew forward. It came from the other cabin. As soon as that happened, I saw Dokja sprint towards the group...
Well, that's a surprise...
