From Angel to Demon - Luke x Reader

I was no stranger to love, I knew the rules.

As a demon, long lasting relationships were a flickering thought. But a full commitment's what I'm thinking of, and you wouldn't get that from any other demon.

Then I saw Luke, an Angel from the celestial realm. I just wanted to tell him how I'm feeling, and just make him understand.

That wasn't possible, so when we were parting ways at the end of the transfer student program, I grabbed tightly onto him.
Surprise filled his eyes, but then he began to cry.

"I'm never gonna give you up." I said, holding his small face in my hand. Tears dripped off his visage, a soft and scraggly voice emerged; "You'll never let me down, never run around and desert me, right?"

I smiled, "I'll never make you cry."
"Even when you say goodbye?"

Our foreheads pressed together, "Yes, I'd never tell a lie, and hurt you."

Maybe it's because we've known each other for so long. My hearts been aching, but I'm too shy to say it.
Deep inside, we both know what's been going on.

"You know the game, we're gonna play it."
He might ask me how I'm feeling, but don't tell me he's to blind to see it.

I repeated myself; "I'll never, ever give you up. I promise to never let you down, or run around and desert you." His expression shifted to a bright eyed smile, "Never make me cry, say goodbye, tell a lie, or hurt me?"
"I just wanna tell you how I'm feeling. Gotta make you understand."

My hands lifted him off the ground and swung him around.
