A room bleached in light, will not always take away the darkness. For instance, Death's darkness is masqueraded in plain sight, ready to snatch at a moments notice. Often times it lingers in the corner, slowly draining the light of those around it. The foolish will take for granted the light of those before them. But when the rattle of death has taken it's hold, time is of a short supply. Those who have chosen negligence, will suddenly fight to have a front row seat to the fading of light before them. Hoping for a moment of clarity so they may say their piece, if only to see a smile or the squeeze of a hand in response. But, as they say, "beggars can't be choosers". So, those who have delayed their presence may instead find themselves grasping for forgiveness from, and time with, the unconscious. Hoping their words breach the void of the unknown. A hope that often lingers well after the final breath is released.
