I didn't get any sleep so I get up and take a quick shower letting the water wash away all the tiredness. I grabbed my Coca-Cola hoodie off the pile of clothes on my desk chair and grabbed a pair of baggy jeans. I quickly grabbed the Kroger bag with my lunch and threw on my Walmart tennis shoes. I ran faster then Lightning McQueen to my bus, barely making it. I sat in my usual seat in the back of the bus and finally relaxed. It was my first day at my new school because I had just moved to Kansas for my mother's job.

I entered the building and to my locker when I felt someone short walk into me. I turned around and saw her blushing, she looked to be around 5'0 with brown hair and eyes, as she looked up towards me. I heard her mutter a small "Hi." I say "Hi there" still in shock. "Why do you look so surprised?" she asks me. I let out a small laugh and jokingly say "You're just so short." She lets out a loud gasp as I try not to laugh and says, "How dare you!" I introduce myself as Karl and ask what her name is, "she responds with "I'm Alex!" I hear the bell go off and Alex says, "Oh would you look at the time, we're gonna be late! I'll see you later!"

I walk into art class and sit in my new seat. After a a few seconds a hear Alex say "Hi Karl!" She sits down and says, "Wait what are your pronouns? I don't wanna offend you or anything." I jokingly put my hands to my chest and say, "He cause I'll never be him"
