In the morning I get entirely ready then flop into a chair.
Why am I doing this?
Why does it have to be this hard?
Is the huge mess of a life making me loopy?
I turn the TV on and see Chris come up on it.
He is being interviewed by Ellen.
"So, Chris, has any girl caught your eye yet?" Ellen asks.
Chris smiles and blushes a little, turning to face the ground.
"Well, there is this one girl. She is absolutely beautiful. She lit up my world in a matter of days, and for that I am so thankful. Tara, if you are watching this, please know that I love you with all my heart, and I want you to come back to me, and stay forever."
Wait, WHAT!!!!???? Did Chris just say he loves me on the ELLEN SHOW!!??
Okay, I am freaking out.
What is happening?
He wants me to come back and stay with him forever?
Chris and I have not known each other for an overly long time, how can he say this?
I pick up my phone, and just as Chris walks off of the stage, call him.
I wait and wait for him to pick up, and finally, just as thought he wouldn't, he does.
"Tara? What's the matter? Please tell me you didn't see the show? Coz I'm scared I looked like some soft guy that is crazy in love with this amazing girl he didn't meet that long ago. I'm scared she won't come home to me and she will never want to speak to me again after this."
I smile and feel a tear trickle down my cheek.
"You are crazy Evans." Is all I can say. "Only crazy for you my dear. Tara, every word I said, I meant. I want you to come home, and stay because you have changed my whole life, and I can't think of going back to the way it used to be. To be honest, my life without you was boring."
I huff and roll my eyes, even though he can't see me.
"I can't come home Chris, not now."
"Why not?"
"Because this is my dream. I want to start another business in Florida."
"Then start it. After that, come home immediately. I don't think I can survive a lifetime without you. I sure as hell don't know how I did it before."
I smile and let another tear slip out. I sniff my nose and Chris hears me.
"Hey, hey, hey. Don't cry. You are too gorgeous to cry. When will you be back? Coz I will make sure I accidentally bump into you at the airport again."
I giggle and he chuckles.
"I'm sure you are wearing that beautiful smile of yours right now aren't you?"
I am. I am smiling because the most perfect man I have ever met is talking to me. Something I thought would never happen. Not in a million years.
Suddenly there is a knock on the door and I walk to answer it.
"Who is it Tara?" Chris whispers.
"I don't know yet. Just wait I will check."
I look through the eye hole in the door and see Nick. Ugh, he has ruined my day. 
"It's Nick." I whisper to Chris.
"Tell him to piss off. Why is he there anyway?"
"He wants us to fall in love again."
"Well shit. What a dick. Can't he tell you aren't into him like you used to be?"
"Nope. What am I meant to do?"
"Let him in and tell him exactly that."
"Okay I will talk to you later Chris."
"Okay love you."

"I love you too."

Nick knocks on the door and yells, "I can hear you Tara."

I sigh and hang up on Chris before opening the door.

Nick quickly engulfs me in a hug and I reluctantly hug back.

This is sure going to be one regrettable trip.
