𝟬𝟮𝟱, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝗶 𝗱𝗼?

juliet woke up, matt sleeping beside her like a log. she gets out of his grip and walks out the room, seeing chris, nick, and mac in the kitchen.

"hey sleepy head" mac smiles "how'd you sleep?"

"fine" juliet mumbles, shrugging her shoulders and sitting down on the couch "where's carlota?"

"i'm here" carlota walks out of the bathroom

"where's matt?" nick asks

"sleeping" juliet answers, her shoulders slumping a little "he's fast asleep so there's no chance so wake him up"

"what are you guys talking about?" matt walks out of the room with a hoarse voice

"nothing" juliet answers, avoiding eye contact with him "is linny awake?"

"uh, no" matt rubs his eyes "good morning, jj"

"im gonna go check on linny" juliet ignores him, rushing past him into her room

matt just stands there, furrowing his eyebrows "did i do something?"

"why would we know?" nick shrugs

matt frowns slightly and walks in the girls room, seeing her sitting on the floor criss cross with linny on her lap, her back against the bed.

"hey" matt leans against the door frame

"hi" juliet looks at him for a second, then looking away "i'll be right out" she stands up, holding linny and walking out of the room, matt grabbing her arm and pulling her back

"is everything okay?" matt asks softly

"yeah, everything's fine" juliet answers, trying to walk away again

"are you sure?" matt looks at her intently

"matt. im sure" juliet says "now i have a to feed linny"

matt lets her arm go and she goes to the kitchen, leaving matt standing there.

'i kissed her last night , ive been super nice to her, i wrote a whole letter for her, what did i do wrong?" matt thinks to himself, he didn't do anything wrong

he walks to the kitchen too, nick and chris were on the ground laughing and mac was sitting there.

"YOUR STUPID CAT PEED ON ME!" mac exclaims

"MY CAT ISNT STUPID!" juliet yells, "get out of my house. i'm being dead serious get out of my house."

"you don't mean that" mac brushes it off, juliet look at him dead in the eyes "oh you're not bullshitting me?"

"lying is a sin." juliet answers "im full of sins though, i like girls bu- THATS NOT THE POINT!"

"guys let's go to target" carlota rises from the couch

"let's go" juliet grabs her house keys

they all walk to the van, getting in the car and driving towards the direction of target. the car ride was silent other than mac and juliet arguing in the back.

"I DO LOVE LI-" mac starts

"both of you. shut up. you're gonna burst my eardrums." carlota reprimands "sorry i'm on my period"

"it's fine. i wanna stop fighting" juliet crosses her arms

"we're here" matt turns of the ignition after parking, "let's go"

they all get out of the car, walking towards the entrance of target. matt and juliet were walking in front of everyone, both of them being oddly silent. he puts his arm around her and pulls her closer to him, but she just pulls away.

"what's going on with you?" matt asks

"nothing going on with me" juliet shrugs, crossing her arms again

"i don't get it. last night you were fine" matt scoffs

"and i continue to be fine" juliet says, trying to walk ahead

"hey," matt catches up to her "what did i do?"

"you-"

"lovebirds. come on." carlota walks in between them

matt walks forward, clearly more upset by juliet, which made her even more upset.

"so jules-" carlota starts

"don't talk to me" juliet mumbles, walking ahead

carlota furrows her brows, but then realized that juliet didn't socialize unless she was really really upset. she decided not to pry.

they all went to different aisles. juliet was in the pet section to get linny new toys since the others were already old and she needed more food.

"jj" matt walks behind her, causing her to jump slightly

"jeez, matt!" juliet exclaims, dropping a toy plushie on the ground on accident "don't do that!"

"okay i'm sorry but i'm upset. what the hell did i do?" matt deadpans "i need to know so i can fix it."

juliet hesitated before crossing her arms again and looking down.

"it's stupid" juliet says quietly

"juliet," matt sighs, "please tell me"

"you sound like you're embarrassed of me half the time." juliet looks up at him

"what?" matt furrows his brows "no im not"

"but it sounds like it. you can't even kiss me in front of your own brothers and best friends for gods sake!" juliet exclaims

"juliet," matt laughs shortly

"dont laugh" juliet looks down again

"im not embarrassed to be seen with you" matt reassures, stepping closer to her "i'm not. but when i say that they will tease us, it's true, you know it's true"

"i know! but i don't care if they tease us, i don't care if your friends tease us or-" juliet rants

"juliet look at what i found!" nick walks in the aisle

once matt hears his brothers voice, he pulls juliet in by her waist, kissing her.

"oh my goodness" nick runs away

juliet pulls away from matt, a small smile blooming on her lips.

"see?" matt says, his hands still around her waist "im not embarrassed"

"you need to do it more often so i get reassured, though" juliet wraps her hands around his wrists

"i will, i promise."
