Ena's POV
"HOW SO?!" I somewhat hollered, causing Mizuki to cover my mouth. "I-I didn't yell that loud..!"

There was no response, which drove me insane. We were already somewhat far in our conversation, so we should keep going. I was dying to hear more about this situation—what was in Mizuki's mind.

"Mizuki! Don't stop talking now! What do you mean you're not the first?! You—"

"I don't know.." they mumbled.

"Sure you do. You must have a reason. Then you would've never made that comment."

Mizuki sighed. "I-I...She didn't seem...um..."

"Take your time," I grabbed their hands and held them. Blushing from my action, I still tried to keep eye contact with the stuttering hermit.

"I just feel like she's not...from here."

I gave a confused look, trying to understand. "Not from here..? What do you mean?"

"I...I don't know. I knew you wouldn't be able to understand anyway. I don't understand where I'm coming from either," Mizuki squeezed my hands.

"No...tell me. I'll try to understand."

"It's hard to explain."

"It's better to get your thoughts out of your head," I smiled faintly, basically begging them at this point. There was a loud silence until Mizuki sighed again.

"Mizu—"

"She doesn't really have the scent of a hermit...well, hermit like us. She feels different and I don't know why. I feel like she's attached to me in some kind of connecting way. She told me her name was MEIKO, but I felt like she was shouting it at me even though she had a soft voice. She was hostile towards you guys but when I approached her, her stance softened...I feel like she has something towards me," Mizuki spoke, almost whispering.

"Softened? She probably likes you?" I started to make assumptions, but I felt like they all didn't match. Whatever was going on in Mizuki's head, I just couldn't understand. This MEIKO person really changed their mindset badly.

"Haha...maybe? Anyways...aren't you supposed to be sketching?" Mizuki changed the conversation. I guess that meant they were tired of talking about it. I played along.

"Oh! Yeah! What's taking Mafuyu and Kanade so long?"

Mizuki chuckled slowly. "Heh heh heh...I told them to work their arms off if they wanted a nice house! I never knew that they would actually take that seriously!"

"God, you're so annoying."

"How does that make me annoying?! Enanannn...such a meanie.."

I rolled my eyes. "Stop crying."

Mafuyu's POV (omg 😱)
(This is somewhat kanamafu so if you are here for the mizuena, you can skip lmao)

Damn it. I lost Kanade. This usually always happens when we are collecting materials together so I'm somewhat not surprised. Though, I felt a new emotion in my body: I was paranoid. Somewhat paranoid, but very worried. I can't show it, but it feels terrible. Where could she be? God, she's so small, I can barely see her when she's with me.

"Kanade?" I somewhat called. No answer. Then I heard something. It sounded...beautiful. It was music. Music has always been my passion and it helps me cope, so I headed towards the sound. It led me to a small space. There were not many trees, that were completely covered in snow, and mostly space around the area. The snow glittered, but maybe it was because of the music. Usually snow looks like snow to me. Yes...this feels nice. I turn another direction to find Kanade, finally. She was singing to arctic animals. That was the music.
