The day with Dr. Tall had been fun, however we all we tried out from play music all day.

I tried to catch up with the Beckley-Stratton kids so I made sure to keep close to Lucinda. We made our way to the band room, where I spotted Brigid. I pulled Lucinda along to avoid her.

The silver band was just getting released and it cased mayhem in the band room. Derrick Crawford was calming the kids down. He did a poor job like he had done years before.

Lucinda introduced me to Lillian.

"You must be Anthony." she said as she put her hand out. I shook her and hand and she continued to talk. "I read the fic. That dream of yours was crazy."

"Yeah," I looked at Lucinda.

"I didn't show her it I swear." Lucinda said laughing.

"She didn't Alaysia did." Lilian chimed in.

"What did I do?" Alaysia said as she was approaching us with Ethan next to her.

"The fan fiction you wrote last year about honor band." I said.

"We're still talking about that? It was a silly joke that got many reads."

"I don't care I actually like Nineteen Hearts Intertwined. Like not even joking." Lilian said.

"That's what the fan fiction is about?" Natalie said as she appeared in the band room.

"Unfortunately, yes. She made a fan fiction last year about a dream I had about honor band. It's basically a story of the whole band being gay." I explained.

"And this is a dream you had? Are you sure you're not gay?"

"We're still figuring that out as well." Alaysia said.

"Do you have a boyfriend yet?" Ethan asked.

"I'm not gay Ethan." I said in response. Everyone laughed and I put my instrument away in the band room.

Before I left, I met up with Jacklin. She was on her way out, but I told her about the conversation in the band room.

"Dude, she should actually make one about this year as well."

"Please no."

"Yeah, it would be so funny and we can make fun of you again like last year."

I watched as she got in her car and her parent took off in a flash. A few minutes later my dad arrived.

We had a mini argument in the car. After he finished discussing my punishments for something stupid I asked the hard hitting question.

"Can you come to the concert tomorrow?"

"What time?" he said with his gruffy voice.

"It starts at four."

"We should be able to make it."

"It'll cost five dollars per person."

"We can't go."

"Why?"

"Because that money should be spent on food not to see you perform."

"But..."

"I said no."

Later at the house I tried to convince my mom to get him a board, but that didn't work.

"Maybe one of us could see you perform. We'll have to see."

I was ready for them to be no-shows at the concert tomorrow.
