Sophie's P.O.V:

Sophie didn't know what was going through her head to make her join the Neverseen, but it happened. As soon as she made the decision, she instantly regretted it. But how could she pass up the opportunity to meet her parents?

"What was that for?" Sophie questioned as Sophie, Fintan and Brant arrived at their designated location. They had cut her off while she was explaining to Keefe what had happened. She felt terrible for betraying Keefe after who had already lost his trust; Alvar (his hero), his mom, and now Sophie. Just another person for him to hate.

"Surely you've realized that switching sides mean betraying your friends." said Fintan, calm and collected.

A/N: I hate this part of Neverseen, I'm sorry but I just had to put it in here.

Sophie hadn't thought about this, she'd been so caught up in the moment that she hadn't even given a thought to how this must have destroyed her friends.

She could imagine it in her head; Dex and Biana trying to hold in their tears, Tam would shake his head disapprovingly, Linh would probably be really upset, Fitz would become angry and resentful, and Keefe, he'll take it the worst. Sophie replayed the scene over and over again in her head as she abandoned Keefe. Tears streaming down his face as he said, "Sophie?".

As she thought about it more and more, she quickly shut the memory off and pushed it to the furthest corner of her mind. Along with the other suppressed feelings she felt. Keefe would probably be fanning the air saying, "Whoa! Now that's a wave of emotion, Foster!"

"I-I did but..." was all that Sophie could say.

Brant began to say, "So emotional! Your first mission starts tomorrow, destroying Alluvetere!" he smiled a devious smile, as he said these last words.

"No..." Sophie whispered to herself. What she had done was already bad enough, she couldn't face herself to make the wound deeper.

"Wait a second," Sophie began to say to herself. "What about my real parents? When do I meet them? You-you promised..."

Oh no... Sophie thought to herself. She came to a realization; Sophie had been duped! She had fallen for the biggest and most terrible lie to exist, ever!

Fintan and Brant laughed to themselves, "You clearly aren't as smart as they say." Fintan began, "We have no idea who your parents are! You fell for our schemes. Sophie Foster, you have dug yourself a hole, and now, you have no way out!"
