It was another nice Friday, Katie and all the others where at lunch, including Kameron. "So...the movies this weekend? I heard their playing 'Unfriended'." Kameron said, he was sitting across from her.
"Isn't that some kind of horror movie?" She asked, an exited glare in her eyes. He smiled. "Yup! I heard its one of the top rated in horror fiction this year!" He said with a lot of enthusiasm.
"You two sound like complete nerds" Alicia said, munching on an apple.
"Probably because we are!" Kameron said with a laugh. Even Alicia smiled at the fact that they were both so care-free to admit how silly they where. It didn't bother them how many weird stares they got, or rude comments telling them how foolish they where (these things happened a lot) They always seemed to get along with everyone.
On the bus home, Katie didn't really talk much, she just sat there and listened to her music. The past couple hours of school really wore her out. There where finals in almost every subject, and even though she studied like crazy, it was very stressful. -buzz- She got a text from, Kameron. She jumped a bit because she was so relaxed.
"Are we sill on for tomorrow?" The text read. Katie looked behind her in the seat. She looked at Kameron with an odd expression. "You know, I'm right here. You could have just asked!" She said with a smile. The remark made Kameron blush a bit, and Katie giggled.
"Did he finally ask you out?" Alicia asked. "What? Why would you even ask that?! What even gave you that idea??" Katie exclaimed, seeming a bit nervous. "Oh, nothing really. But, someone asked me out yesterday." A slight smile came across her face, and Katie froze stiff.
Nazari began to laugh from the seat beside them. "Who on earth would do that? Nice joke Ali!" She looked at him and snapped. "I'm not joking around." Nazari shut right up, and went back to messing around on his phone. Alicia looked at Katie. "And don't freak out, it was not Kameron." Katie relaxed in her seat.
"Well, who was it?" Katie looked around the bus to try and figure it out. "To be honest, it was the blonde." Katie looked to the back of the bus to see Zach sitting with his friends. "You mean, Zach?" She said unbelievingly as she turned around to face her friend. "Yup, believe it or not, I've been talking to him a lot lately, and he might act all sweet on the outside, but he's just as devilish as I am."
Katie face-palmed herself. "And what did you say..?" She said through her fingers. "Well, for now I told him I'd think about it. Only because I've never really been in a real relationship before." She said with a tiny itty bitty bit of blush. Katie could barley even notice it. And she tried to keep her mouth shut about it, because that would be a legit death with.
As the bus stopped, the three of them got off. (for the new readers, Kameron, Katie and Alicia all have the same stop) Alicia went down her street, and left the two "love birds" to walk the rest of the way. When Katie's street came up, she went to go down it...but Kameron grabbed her arm. She quickly turned around to meet his eyes.
For a moment she was stunned by how the sun behind them reflected in his green-blue eyes. "Ugh, Kameron are you alright?" she asked, she was frozen in his grasp and could not move if she tried. "I'm perfectly fine, I just wanted to say thank you for going with me tomorrow, to be completely honest, I thought you would reject me.." He looked to the ground and blushed a bit.
"Okay, for one I didn't ask you how you looked." Kameron looked up at her and giggled, trying to hide the blush as it got worse. "And two, I'm glad you asked me too, I think your a really sweet person, and I'd like to get to know you better!" She smiled at him, and skipped down the street.
She turned around quickly. "Wait! Kameron? What's your favorite color??" She asked, looking very determined. "Ugh, green! But wh-" He was cut off completely. "No real reason! Thank you!!" She ran down the street, leaving Kameron alone and confused.
Notes: The 'your favorite color' thing is something I've always done. I don't really know someone until I know their favorite color. XD
