He didn't exactly show me where we were. More as he told me to be quiet and walk behind him as he led me through the town. Given what he had just told me, I decided it was better not to ask him what town. He pushed me behind a tree, draped me in some cut brown fabric and a hood, and started pulling me through the grass and onto the cobbled road we were on before. I tried to not make it too obvious that I had been crying because I didn't want to draw attention to myself. When I looked up, I was met with a shock. Tens upon hundreds of people- and they all had antlers. I had no clue where I was or how I got there, but at that second, I just wanted to set down and look, try and see if I could comprehend where I was.

Of course, I couldn't and I quickly concluded that I was slowly going insane, and the best thing to do was find the nearest cliff and hurl myself off it. I stood up, not daring to look sideways at Birxh and took a couple of clumsy steps forward before promptly falling again. I then sighed and gave up trying to get up, instead trying to shuffle around on the bumpy floor and angle myself so that I was on my knees which, at this point, was the highest vantage point I could get. I was still shaking.

I stared in paralyzing confusion at my surroundings and then felt a cold, gripping hand on my shoulder. I looked up, only to have my eyes met by those of my antlered friend who was giving me a look of warning like please don't do whatever you're cooking up in your head right now. I decided that, for once, I should listen to myself. I wasn't sure what I would be playing with.

So, admitting defeat, I hauled myself onto my feet, using Birch for support as best I could and followed him as he took me somewhere that would presumably be less confusing for my head.
