The Massacre Princess (Chapter II, My Dream Outside This Walls)

~Chapter 2~

"Euphy, come on now. Father is calling us." Cornelia knocked at her sister's room. Euphemia didn't responded so she opened the door. She saw that Euphemia is not at her room and knew that she is at the garden again. Cornelia sighed and went out of the room.

"Odysseus, where are your siblings?", the Emperor asked as he looked around and counted his children.

"F-Father, I guess the Royal Guards are still calling them. Don't worry, they will arrive soon, Father", Odysseus' words filled with nervousness.

Charles nodded and patted his sweating forehead. He sat down as he looked at his children; Odysseus, Guinevere, Schneizel, Clovis, and even the 3-year old girl Nunnally. "Where is Cornelia, Lelouch, and Euphemia?"

"Father, I think they're at the Rose Garden again! Euphemia is really troublesome!". Guinevere stood up from her seat and yelled angrily.

"Now, calm yourself down, Guinevere. You're the first princess and don't act like that. Maybe Lelouch played pranks again at your sister"

"B-But..but..". Guinevere didn't finished her words and looked down. That brat! 

Euphemia sat happily at the side of the fountain at her garden. She looked around and saw the birds fly freely. She wondered what kind of life it is outside the palace walls. She looked around again. She saw her sister Cornelia walking towards her.

"Euphy! Father needs us this morning! Let's go now!", Cornelia grabbed her little sister's hand and dragged her.

"Wait sister, I'm still looking at something!". Euphemia stared at the clear, blue sky and smiled.

"But Father needs us now!!". Cornelia pulled her sister. "What's wrong with you Euphy?!"

"Sister, how about I study at a school? I wonder what would it feel? Live in a normal life? I want to---"

"Euphemia li Britannia! Aren't you a royal blood? Then why are you saying this non-sense?! You can't live a life normally! Because we are from the Royal Family! Understand?!", Cornelia's anger rose up to her brain and glared at her dearest sister.

After hearing what her elder sister said, Euphemia walked away from her.  Euphemia knew that what she wishes for is all stupid, and she can't have what she wanted. She walked back to the hall and saw her half-siblings staring at her. 

"You're late, Euphemia. Where have you been?", asked Odysseus.

"Aren't you supposed to be here on time?!", Guinevere said angrily.

"It isn't good for a princess to be late", added Clovis.

"That's enough! Euphemia, sit down now and we will discuss something", Charles said calmly.

The two, Cornelia and Lelouch, arrived together and seated at their respective seats. Cornelia stared at her sister as she seated far away from her. The emperor coughed and cleared his throat, trying to tell all of the people around him that he is going to tell something. His children became silent and looked at him.

"Since Euphemia's birthday is getting near, I want to give her a special gift", the emperor said with a soft curve at his lips.

"W-What?". Guinevere tilted her head and stared at her father. "Am I correct? This is all about her birthday?!"

"Calm down now Guinevere! Why are you so hot-tempered?!", Cornelia looked angrily at her half-sister Guinevere. 

Euphemia was surprised to hear what the emperor said and heard murmurs from the people around her.

"I wonder what gift the princess asked for?"

"Hm...seems so intruiging.."

"A gift? Seems so nice"

The little princess named Nunnally walked towards her half-sister Euphemia and hugged her legs. "Euphy, what's that gift father is going to give you?"

The emperor cleared his throat again and began to talk. "I'm going to give you, my dear daughter Euphemia, your most speacial wish. To study outside the palace. But, promise me that you will pass by here and visit us, and do not forget your duties as a princess"

"That's nice Euphy, I'm congratulating you.", Lelouch said and patted Euphemia's shoulder. 

"Thank you so much father! I'm so happy! Thank you!". Euphemia hugged her father tightly and smiled at him.

"No problem, my dear daughter. Enjoy studying at your new school and home, hm?"

Euphemia nodded quickly with joy and tears of happiness. Cornelia smiled from afar. She know what is good for her only sister that's why she let her reach her dreams. Odysseus, Clovis, and even Nunnally joined Charles and Euphemia. Guinevere glared at them with anger. But somehow, she knew she will be happy since there is no more Euphemia to annoy her. She chuckled devilly and walked away.
