Eyes flutter open. Damp cold cloth placed over forehead. Alycia watches as Everlynn moves slightly. A small smile forming on her lips knowing Everlynn was okay.

"What the f-" Everlynn breathes out, her voice cracked, weak. Alycia shakes her head and gently grabs Everlynn's hand, giving it a tight yet gentle squeeze.

"You're okay. Just rest," Alycia said gently.

"Was I... shot?" Everlynn asks, her eyes fully open and looking around. Alycia remains silent watching Everlynn as she looks down at herself. Her shirt was off. Only her bra on with white bandages around her stomach and her left shoulder. "They fucking shot me twice!"

"Actually three times..." Alycia let's her voice trail, pointing to Everlynn's stomach. "You were shot once in the stomach and the second bullet hit your shoulder then the third grazed you on the stomach."

"Jesus Christ-" Everlynn places her hands on the bed and tries to sit up again. Alycia shakes her head and places her hands on Everlynn's shoulders.

"You really shouldn't get up. You need to recover."

"I need to get you out of here."

Alycia shakes her head. "Eve it's fine. You're lucky to even be alive. Y/n thought you were actually dead."

"Yeah I bet they did and then if that happened where were they going to do with you?" Everlynn's eyes shift between the Australian's. Alycia remains quiet and sits back down on the chair she previously was sitting on. Her green eyes tear from the wounded girl as her shoulders rise up then fall drastically. "They really shot me."

"They were upset. Angry. It's my fault," Alycia whispers and Everlynn quickly looks at the girl, grabbing her hand.

"This.is.not.your fault Alycia. It's Y/n's. Their fault for lying to us and trying to hide it. The truth...The truth always comes out," Everlynn spoke, pain shooting through her as she squeezes Alycia's hand then let's go. She lays back and shakes her head from side to side. "Me being shot wasn't your fault. I shouldn't ha-have reacted the way I did. I'm just worried."

"I am too. But we have to outplay Y/n. We have to be two steps ahead-" Alycia lowers her voice, looking directly at Everlynn's eyes. Everlynn looks back tilting her head, hanging onto the girl's words. "We have to think logically about all this. If we can somehow just feed into the delusions and help Y/n and Gunnar then in the end we'll be on top. It's all a power thing to them."

Everlynn nods, biting down on her lip for a moment. "You're right... Plus Gunnar just follows Y/n. All we have to do is-"

"Play them. You take Gunnar. I think he likes you. And I'll take Y/n obviously."

"Wait... Gunnar doesn't-"

"He does. It's so painfully obvious it hurts that you haven't noticed," Alycia cuts the girl off and Everlynn looks away, closing her eyes.

"Damn it."

Alycia cocks her head to the side, eyeing the injured girl curiously. Everlynn shakes her head from side to side sighing.

"Okay yeah. I know what I have to do. But we have to be safe Alycia." Everlynn opens her eyes and looks at Alycia. The Australian nods giving a small reassuring smile.
