The day it all stopped

A sudden pain

The thought of me and Paige being free while the world had stopped didn't leave my mind. As soon as I put my first step outside the door I saw Paige suddenly looking up at me and smiling. After she looked away I felt a sudden pain in my entire body. The next thing I remember is waking up in a completely different place with one person beside me ,Paige. She woke up as she heard my weak and dehydrated voice saying "Pa....Paige?". She then told me that it had been about 2 days since I went unconscious. She then hugged me broke down into tears for about 10 minutes. I was as confused as a pet cat looking at a new pet puppy. She told me everything that had happened in the last 2 days. She told me that the day that she visited our neighbours, when she looked away from me she saw me falling flat on my face from the corner of her eye and confused as anyone in the same condition called out my name and with no response from me she asked her aunt to call the ambulance for me but the same happened, there was no reply she looked at her aunt and saw that she was frozen in time. When she came up to see me she saw that I was unconscious but was moving and not stuck like her aunt. She then made my unconscious body sit up and went to look for my parents but the same they were also frozen in time. It had become clear to her what had happened. The world had stopped. She then checked my pulse and confirmed that I was alive and not stuck. She checked my eyes but couldn't believe what she saw and didn't tell me. Then she took care of me and kept count of how many days had passed. Every non living thing could be moved by our touch, living things no matter how heavy could be moved from their position. That was her perspective of the last 2 days. After I woke up I was very shy of looking at Paige as I loved her even looking at her would have given me a boner. So I kept avoiding looking at her for the day but when we were heading to sleep she came and sat beside me and look at me as I was only last person the entire world (writers note -which was true ; spoiler - for now). She then held my head with her soft palm and lent in towards me and placed her soft lips on top of mine and then cuddled with me for some time and suddenly woke up and told me that she was sorry for what she did and walked away in shame. I ran after her and held her hand and told her "It's okay you can be open and free when you're with me and you can talk about anything because I am willing to listen to you if that was only thing that I had chose other than death in a given situation". She began whimpering and tears rolled down her soft cheeks. She fell into my chest and was cuddling with me for the entire time. This time I understood that I was the only one she trusted and realised that whatever happens I cannot break her trust in me.
