Frisk had been acting strange all week. She wasn't eating and was tired all the time. She barely spoke, and while it was technically normal for a person with selective mutism to not speak, it was weird for this person with selective mutism.

Frisk quietly ate her breakfast, and by ate, I mean stabbed her cereal with her spoon.

" Well, my child, I have to go to a meeting. Is there anything you want to tell me?"

"... no."

"Well... goodbye Frisk."

" Bye"

Toriel's brows knit together. This was strange for Frisk, but she couldn't be late to her meeting, so she left.

Frisk sat there for a minute, tears ran down her face. She should have gone and hugged her mother goodbye, but if that thing found a way to take control like it said. Who knows what could happen. Her mother could end up dead on the floor!

She had seen almost everyone she knew dead. But, wait, it didn't say anything about Flowey.

Frisk was questioning her life choices as she walked back to Ebott. The warm summer breeze felt great against her skin. She hadn't slept for a while. She was hoping Flowey wouldn't mind a short visit.

. . .

FLowey sat there, right next to the stairs that went to the surface basking in the sunlight. Every so often he'd reach one of his vines up to try to touch the sky, but somehow, just when he almost made it, it hit something that felt almost like glass, and the vine would fall back down. Suddenly a shadow covered his sunshine. Frisk was walking down the stairs. He sudden;y smiled much wider than before.

"Howdy!"

"Hey Flowey," Frisk said, slightly quieter than the last time he saw her.

"Man, for a human on the surface you sure look pale."

"Haven't gotten much sleep, you know."

"Oh... why?"

"Um... Never mind. So how are you doing?"

"Same old ,same old."

"Oh," The two sat in silence for a minute.

"So... you wanna play 'guess who'?" asked Flowey.

"You have that?"

"Ya. I explored this house while I was bored once."

Flowey found it in a stack of some other games, which he also brought over. They moved to Toriel's living room. Flowey won the first round, and Frisk won the second. They were smiling ,laughing even. For the first time in a week they were both happy.

Things continued like this for months. Frisk was slowly distancing herself from her friends and family while being tormented by a demon... and hanging out with a demon flower. Man her life got weird.

. . .

Toriel sat with Undyne, sans, Alphys, and Asgore at a rather large table.

"S-so, T-toriel why are we here?" Asked Alphys.

"Well. We're here to discuss Frisk. Has anyone else noticed she's acting weird lately, or am I just being a paranoid parent?"

"Now that you mention it, punk has been kinda off lately. She's pale and tired. Barely talks to me, when I actually see her,"said Undnye.

"gotta agree with the fish here. the kid hasn't really actin like herself,"sans added. Undyne rolled her eyes at that.
