He broke our gaze. "It's important that you know. Important I am by your side. Once you know it will be almost impossible to control." I started to breath heavier. "This is a lot to..." He squeezed my hand.
"Sssshhhhh.....I know, I remember finding out when I was your age." He smiled at my confused expression.
"You will find out soon." Shooting a look into my deep azure eyes. "I promise..."
We walked deeper into the woods swinging our hands between us.
"So what is a Radicier, and why do I need to know...."
"A Radicier is a creature with dark hair" indicating to my brown locks, "Deep blue eyes" he looks into my dark blue orbs.
"But what about yours?" I looked into his hazel eyes.
He turned away and tilted his head back before slowly spinning back round to reveal a pair of eyes the same colour as mine as well as a contact lens case."Beautiful....why do you cover them up?" I stared into his deep, glowing eyes.
"That is the most important question?" He sniggered "Believe me you have other things to worry about."
Gasping I asked "But why?"
He inhaled sharply and rummaged in his pockets, revealing a pair of clear, non prescription contact lenses. "Put these on" He handed me the cylinder.
"But I don't understa......"I breathed.
"I'll tell you. just put them on.....please?" He looked at me longingly so I took the tube and slipped the contact lenses onto my shiny orbs. I turned back to see him look back with his newly hazel eyes.
"Ok?" I looked longingly at him.
"Ok.....um.......when I tell you this you have to keep the lenses on whenever your around......well anyone, to be safe..."
"Ok I'm ready." I held my breath and Jake exhaled.
"So, if you haven't figured it out by now ...uh.....your a Radicier ......" He gulped
"And you as well?" I looked up to see him nod. "Ok but why does that mean my eyes are so 'dangerous'?" I made air quotations on the word dangerous.
"Well they're killers Trace, at first glance any feeling for you becomes uncontrollable so if someone 'hates' you well..."
"They'll kill me..." I gasped.
"Yeah......don't worry though the contacts don't change your eye colour, only conceal your powers...." He trailed of yo see a tear running down my cheek. "What?" He looked worried.
"So your love for me is a lie?" My cheeks flushed a deep crimson. "That is if my calculations are correct..." I tryed to look serious but after a while we both burst out laughing.
"Um.....and so you know your power won't affect other Radiciers only humans...." He winked at me and my cheeks flushed once more.
"So......how come my mum hasn't killed me for not cleaning my room?" I giggled "I'm pretty sure she has seen my eyes before...." I squinted, his hazel orbs full of love and kindness.
"A Radiciers powers aren't dangerous until they know they have them."
"How can you even be sure I am a Radicier if I can't use my Powers?" I asked
"The only way to check is to try out your other powers." He looked at me "Radiciers can also control moods...."
I cut him off. "Surly that means I can stop others from hating me and..." I gulped. "Killing me?"
"Only to those who are not under your trance.....that's why you need to promise you will always use them...." Jake indicated to the empty tube which had contained the contacted lenses.
"Ok..."
"Ok...oh one more thing Radiciers can also transmit thoughts..... This is the hardest thing to control." He breathed
"How?" I asked
"There's two ways you either look at the person you are transmitting to and say or picture what you want to say or show." He looked at me and I heard his voice in my head whisper "like this". "Or you think about who you send it to and picture them getting your message. " He closed his eyes tight and his husky voice echoed in my head again "Like this".
"Wow, that's crazy, and a great way to avoid passing messages in class." I smiled and saw him look at me concerned.
He spoke to me in my head again "You can't risk using your power on anyone but me or other Radiciers, that will put our whole world in danger." I heard the real Jake speak. "Close your eyes." I squeezed my eyes shut and a vision of many dark haired, blue eyed beings appeared in my head. Among them was Jake and me and we were kissing.
I bit my lip to hide my nervous giggle. He looked back. "Sorry got a bit carried away....but that's our world and the other thing can be ours too....if you want that?" I nodded my head, a bit too excited but who could blame me this boy was gorgeous!
"Yeah I would like that..." I breathed laughing lightly "This is crazy" I whispered looking at him.
"What?" He looked back nervous.
"We just met and I feel like I've known you my whole life....."
"I wish I could say it's just my affect on you but I can't......I am your dream maker..."
"What?"
"Well every dream or nightmare you've ever had has come from me, I control them so I've slipped into them now and again...." He smiled
"Hey I hated that repeating...."
He cut me off "Crashing plane?"
"Yeah!" I gasped. "You did that!"
"I did but it wasn't my choice, I'm monitored by the government."
"Should've known they would have something to do with this" I said through gritted teeth, looking back to see him snigger.
"This is the government of Radiule, the most important people amongst the Radiciers on the earth." He put his hand into his pocket pulling out a badge. "I am a member of the dreaming department, Asling is my boss." He pointed at my eyes to tell me to shut them.
As I did I saw a short woman in a golden robe with a bob hair cut and an evil crooked smile.
He must have seen me shiver so I felt him wrap his leather jacket around my shoulders and snake his arms around my waist standing me up he closed his eyes and lent in.
Just as our lips brushed together I heard my phone ring in my pocket.
