"Today's lesson is about solo missions!"
Eiko, their ever-reliable AI helper was brimming with energy today. Her favorite action involves clapping her perfectly manicured hands together and jumping up and down with joy, or just being plain delirious.
"Are you telling us that we're going to be carrying this egg during our solo missions?" Hikaru, was now in-character as Isilynor, a pretty elf with a creamy skin tone and fashionable hairstyle who couldn't stop complaining.
Eiko proceeded, "You have to! Because every time you bring the egg as you level up your character, the more chances to get it hatched."
Of course, this was the main goal—to hatch the egg to unlock the next part of the main quest.
Speaking of , the elf was now wearing a rather extravagant costume and if there was ever a contest of the character's overall regalia, he will probably win this one.
After a month and a few weeks of playing the game "Incarnate", Yuki managed to get his friends so hooked that they no longer hang out in the real world every weekend. Instead, most of their time was spent roaming around the first-ever virtual game that boasts 99% realism, fighting monsters and even earning money in the process.
Since they've already earned enough to upgrade their looks, Hikaru spent most of his time beautifying Isilynor than upgrading his skills which annoys Yuki because he was wasting their resources. As a result, he decided that Aoi should be the treasurer of the team's wealth and keep track of all the spending.
Needless to say, these solo missions would be beneficial for the team because Hikaru has no choice but to earn money himself at the same time his character must level up hence he will risk facing high-ranking monsters without the assistance of his friends.
"What do we get from solo missions again?" Hikaru, who wasn't interested in going solo didn't listen to Eiko the first time she discussed this.
At least Eiko was a very patient AI, "Solo missions are always special. If you completed a certain quest on or before the deadline, you'll get special rewards. Special rewards vary from unique and rare weapons, costumes, and armor plus you can earn lots of gold!"
Yuki watched as Hikaru's face brightens upon hearing about the rewards, "Now you're interested?"
"You don't understand, the more unique the looks of my character are, the better I stand out in this game," Hikaru told him proudly Yuki couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Have you improved your skills yet?" Masami was already castigating him before anyone could say anything. "Your character is sure pretty but your magic doesn't contribute enough to our team."
Hikaru's face turned sour, "For someone who is only three feet tall here and only 168 cm in real life, you sure are confident. Stop talking as if you're better than me!"
