"ZEUS!" Someone yelled stomping loudly.

I peak through the doors creek
"Is that Hera?" I thought, trying to look around the room.

Someone taps me on the shoulder, "Young lady, Aphrodite ordered me to bring you to her." He continues.

I turn around, "Why Hermes?" I ask with a fake smile on my face.

"I do not know." Hermes frowns putting his hand over his chest.

I take slow steps to the palace.
I enter the gates through the front door up the stairs into the throne room.

The smell of fresh picked roses throughout the whole place.
"Yes mother?" I ask

"Dear, I've heard Hades son wanted to marry you." Mother continues walking back to her throne.

"Hades son? Jasper?" I gasp
I felt dazed and unsure that to say next.

"Yes I may accept the marriage for you." Mother responds with a sigh.

"Mother No! I want to choose my own husband." I protest.

"Your beauty must not go to a waste, and that is why I will choose for you." She explains

"WITH THE MORTALS?" Someone yelled walking around throughout the garden.

"Mother may I leave?" I ask looking back at her.

"Yes you may." She smiled pointing her finger at the door.

I quickly started to walk out the throne room out the palace into the garden.
And there was Hera all alone.

The field of sunflowers.
Hera on a stone bench upset.

I walk closer to her step by step the sunflowers crumbled.
I sat beside her, "Hera are you alright?" I question looking concerned.

"Oh Iris.. I'm alright.." Hera responds looking the other direction.

"I heard you with zeus, and I know he can be a handful and you have known him longer than me. I mean I'm just a kid." I try to laugh it off, smiling really big.

"Iris I do understand you but I don't think right now is the best time for me to talk to anyone." Hera frowns looking back at me.

The scent of roses became stronger.

"Hera please.." I beg.
"What happened with Zeus...What didn't I hear?" I thought looking the other way.

"If you must know Iris Zeus has been dating mortals." Hera admitted crossing her arms.

I looked back at her in disbelief, "M-Mortals?" I stutter with my eyes wide open.

"Mortals." Hera repeats with a straight face.

"There has to be some mistake or misunderstanding. No way he is with Mortals Hera are you sure?" I reassure.

"No Iris he said Mortals." Hera answers laying her head in her lap.

"Hera what happened?" Someone from a distance questions.
The rose scent became even stronger than it was before.

I turn around, "Hello mother." I say putting on a smile.

"Aphrodite." Hera picks her head up.
"Can we discuss this privately?" Hera replies standing up from the stone bench.

"Yes." Mother smiles walking along with her.

"Mortals... Zeus now mortals?" I thought standing up from the bench heading down the gates to earth.
